I read this on the hive, but I do not have a scout membership to get on Duke's site to post a link. But they are saying that PJ ran up the score, and what goes around comes around. To me, PJ calling the pass play to BeBe was a message to BeBe. PJ saying, way to block your a$$ off the entire game. And for that matter, he's blocked great the whole year. Sure we could have run the ball, but Duke sold out to stopping the run the entire game. It was wide open! Someone with access to scout please post a link.
 
But, but, Duke was in such good condition...how could we run up the score on a team that was in better shape then anyone in the country?

I do agree that when we finally beat Paul Johnson, it will feel as good as (or better than) beating UNC.

Cut's class walks circles around PJ. That bullcrap in the 4th quarter is going to earn him a bad rep. They can have him.

I am glad people are hating us. I have been sick of people saying, 'yeah, i like tech, they are a nice team'.

Next year, I vote we get up by 5 or 6 scores and then start punting the ball right back to them on first and 10, let the 3 and 4th string defenses really go at the 'brilliance' of cutcliffe!
 
They are a bunch of hypocrites...last few minutes of the UVA-DUKE game:

3-5 Duke 20 Asack,Z. pass complete to Parker,D. for 14 yards to the UVA6, 1ST DOWN DU (Byron Glaspy;Cary Koch).
1-0 Duke 06 Harris,C. rush for 1 yard to the UVA5 (Jon Copper;Byron Glaspy).
2-0 Duke 05 Harris,C. rush for 4 yards to the UVA1 (Clint Sintim).
3-0 Duke 01 Robinson,T. rush for 1 yard to the UVA0, TOUCHDOWN, clock 01:41.
1-0 Duke 03 Maggio,N. kick attempt good.
1-0 Duke 30 Surgan,J. kickoff 60 yards to the UVA10, C. Minnifield return 14 yards to the UVA24 (Robinson,C.).

Amen Supe! I hope we become the scion of the ACC and Georgia. It means we are dominating.
 
We didn't crack 30 points, and yet, somehow that's running up the score? WTF? Dook fans are used to having their azzes handed to them. They should be greatful that we only scored 27. If we didn't fumble and if we hade made a 4th-and-3 conversion, it very well could have been 41-0!
 
I agree. It is time for teams and fans to hate us again. It has been just too long.
 
One other point. Let us examine some of the scores posted by Duke Basketball last year.

All this sounds like is envy on their part. They came back to reality today, 27-0...Sounds like Duke football to me. :D

screw the Dook fans. 24-0 is 3 possessions and the tack on FG is a part of the game that we've been struggling with. No way were we RUTS.

I'd be interested to see what Cutcliffe thinks
 
It's dookie's job to stop us from scoring !! It's not our job to let up !!!! K.M.A. dookie fans.
 
I hope we were running up the score. Maybe next time Cutcliffe feels the need to talk trash about our program to a recruit he'll think twice.

Sour grapes. 17 4th qtr points is not running up the score. If Duke fans want to direct their anger somewhere useful, they should start with their offense that couldn't move the ball.

On the bright side, at least Duke "fans" are talking about football.

Bingo---or calling a play in while one of our defensive players is injured on the field. Correct me if I misinterpreted what I saw. The refs should have stopped the game.

I'm shocked that Duke would call this running up the score. Surely, they've seen worse during the past 14 years.
 
They're just mad because they got their hopes up and GT put them back in their place.

Many of them continued to call it a winnable game... if only the offense could move the ball.

WOW!!! What great football analysis there DOOK fans. Isn't that the case in ANY football game? It takes both points and defensive stops to win games.
