Southern Miss used to be Mississippi Southern, but they changed it to avoid confusion of the MSUs.

I still call it Miss Southern University, when I was in school that was it's name. So to me It'll always be Miss Southern.

I have literally never heard anyone outside of this board refer to Georgia State as "GSU" including State grads.

Something I noticed the other day is that Kansas State has www.ksu.edu, but rather than actually use it they just redirect you to to k-state.edu.

kennesaw isnt that pissed. they dont really like that ".edu" thing, nobody knows that one and it doesnt really fit due to the lack of education you get there
