Players are the same as fans lose a game and we want to fire all the coaches stop buying tickets and get drunk. the next week we know we can beat the next team we play and it starts over. The only good thing is we stay drunk and still don't care what our wife tells us.

More like he is sold on how Chip Long plans to use him and maybe he and Coach Choice weren't vibing these days, so that may have factored into it, as well.

Putting yourself in the portal, as I understand it, allows you to talk to other coaches. We are at the cusp of almost EVERY player doing this all across college football. A player would be kind of dumb not to. Expect this every season for every team. We are in a free agency market where a player will test the waters and then either negotiate to come back before signing day or leave.

It is going to be a two way street. If a player puts himself in the portal, we very well could say "no" to his return if he changes his mind.

Players are going to have to be really careful playing this game with their future. Even Gibbs, had he stayed, is almost guaranteed a 1st round pick from us. He could end up becoming a Mitch Mustain if he isn't careful with it. Mustain transferred to USC from Arkansas and ended up behind other players.
