Early Singing Signing Day

At this point onward, signing days aren’t going to mean a whole lot.

So we get a high 4* or two, yay! But then they transfer out after a year or two, booo!

OR

We get a bunch of 3*’s, booo! But then we get an influx of previous 4*’s or 5*’s that just need some work, yay!

It’s way more of crapshoot than before. It’ll put us at more of detriment than before but that’s just the way things are going.

Shut up. I'm busy imagining that we are not a feeder program. Please don't spoil it.

I followed up that video with this one.

Which of my StinGTalk brethren will accept the responsibility to put this video on perpetual replay in my casket. I mean until the earth crashes into the sun perpetual.

Peak college football.

Developing players was a great model in the pre-NIL/easy transfer era. Tech may find some diamonds in the rough but what happens after they are polished and the rest of college football sees them? I suspect they will just transfer to the playoff contenders.
as long as they make positive contribution here before they leave who cares, next diamond in the rough man up. keep winning and eventually a few diamonds will stick around.

Essentially making chicken salad with what Collins left him with (not the players, mind you, just the overall situation and atmosphere of the program). Next year will tell the tale.
yall giving me PTSD with this "next year we'll know more" talk. how many years of forgiveness key get? cuz clown got about 2 too many.

At the end of the Miracle on Techwood video, I just love CPJ's comment - no platitudes - just "that's what it's all about, that's college football." I miss that man, and I see some of the same qualities in CBK. Hope he turns out as well.

yep. Thx NIL

I just looked at the Mutts' signing class.
Of their signees, only five were from Georgia. One is listed as IMG but he played at Thomas Co Central and attempted to play at Valdosta before having to go there, so he's really a Georgia kid.
Five out of 24.
If Kirby is going to place this little emphasis on his own backyard, can't we make that a selling point out on the trail?

We felt like the French at Dien Bien Phu for that play. Sitting in a box with nothing but red and black around us. No hope of the airlift working to get us out. It was dead ass silent around us after that.
Except for us going absolutely bonkers. It was hard to tell if it was good watching it live, but when I saw the ball boys going crazy, I thought, "Mein Gott in Himmel!"
