I hate to inform you, but Collins makes $2.7 million per yr.

In 2021 that's chump change, there are G5 coaches in that pay range.

Mid tier Pay for P5 HCs is in the $5MM per yr range.

Was that a joke above, abt most expensive we could find?

Nope I'm talking about the years and the salary. $23.1 million contract for what, the temple coach? Now go look at the contract Sam Pittman took with an SEC school. Shorter contract, less salary, full of incentives. While Arky hasn't been as hot as they started this season, no independent analysts would argue Collins is better than Pittman. And Pittman has gotten an extension now too. Meanwhile we watch Collins talk about the culture, cheap breakfast food, and his telephone area code all while our biggest rival has unprecedented success...

Yup when you consider the amount of money they are paying him to lose AND the amount of money GTAA is losing in revenue by losing popularity (fewer tickets, merch) in a market that is full of transplant fans who would love to adopt a second team, it's a huge loss.

He had a long contract at Rutgers....he wasn't gone jump ship and sign a short contract....we came to him.
