Tennessee, Texas, Florida, FSU, and Auburn are all factories that are sucking relative to the importance they place on football. It’s hard to keep pace with UGA and Bama when the NCAA lends a blind eye to their cheating but enforces rules at other programs.

Correct...because it didn't matter who the coach was. There could be an extra game or two variance if we went with a 3O coach these past few years but it'd be a Wish knockoff and not the PJ one people have been waxing nostalgic about. We may be struggling to get up off the floor short term but it's better than self-imposing an artificial ceiling over the foreseeable future.

You can’t actually be serious if you think Monken would have had 3 straight losing seasons…

I think Monken is comparable to Johnson. I think Johnson is the better coach, but Monken is a better game planner. And Johnson won 7 games his last season, and from a TO standpoint, he wasn’t losing much the next season.
 
I think Monken is better because he has an open mind to adapt. If Johnson would have installed some type of shotgun options like he tried with Vad he could have attracted higher quality QB’s and sopped the negative recruiting. Instead he dug in his heels and ended up with a weak team at the end. Monken could bring in similarbtalent to what Collins has brought in because he would have evolved and won a lot more than Collins.
