Fire TStan

Cabrera has absolutely no interest in athletics and doesn’t dare that almost all men’s sports are an absolute mess.
Not what he's told me, but if he said that to my face, I admittedly would've murdered him and he could probably gage that from my demeanor.

Dr. Cabrera,

I don't know your stance on athletics. I myself am very much appreciative that Georgia Tech is a top university worldwide in academics and that not only did I receive an outstanding graduate education as a result, but that my degree increases in stature every year as well.

That said, athletics are the biggest public relations activity Georgia Tech has. Love them or hate them, that's what most people see when it comes to the institute. And thanks to Todd Stansbury, most people are seeing an embarrassment.

The staff of Clemson, a literal cornfield school in the middle of nowhere, was on national TV tonight laughing at us. No name announcers for ESPN were on TV tonight laughing at us. And this isn't the first time - under Todd Stansbury, it's an ongoing trend.

I implore you to put the public reputation of this institute in the standing it deserves and remove our athletic director. I recognize academics come first, but you're the president of the Georgia Institute of Technology, not just the Georgia Tech engineering campus.

Please take action to restore the reputation of over a century of athletic excellence that so well mirrored our academic prowess.

I worry that we're reaching the point where the perception that the program is failing becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. That is, if people think we suck we lose players to transfer and recruits.
Out of curiousity...with 9 wins in the last 3.1 seasons, what makes you think it's not a perception problem that our program is failing, but that our program is...uhh...indeed failing?

I remember when I was in high school, Sports Illustrated did an article about how great and stable Tech football was. "Only three coaches in its history, and they all won over 100 games." Well, whatever that was, we've got the opposite of it now. The only thing worse than how pathetic things are is that nobody will admit how pathetic things really are.
Ding. Ding. Ding.

T-STAN is the equivalent to stage 4 cancer to an athletic program. Who ever would’ve thought Bobinski would be so superior to this clown!???? I’m a long time supporter of the program who kept my opinions to myself as i didn’t want to “hurt” the program. At this point saying nothing is destroying GT football like never before. Get the pitch forks out and light the torches up it’s time to chase these folks outta here and start the “Greatest rebuild college football ever seen.” We should give him a to go box of waffle house as his going away present along with the $16 million we still owe him. Sad

I agree. GT sports needs to be stripped down to it's core. We have years of bad decisions. Collins getting a crap ton of money thrown at him, was stupid. Plain and simple....STUPID. Collins will (arguably) be the worst head coach in GT's history. We haven't had a good coach, in any sports program, for years. Maybe golf... is the exception.. It's time to clean the swamp of mediocracy out. It's time to send these people packing. There should be consequences for bad choices.
