Football Scoop potential candidates

Mullen would be a great hire, I think. He is looking for redemption. We are looking for, well something... Could be a decent match. I think Sanders brings a lot of hype. Just not sure hype will equate to wins.

Mullen would be an awful hire. He can coach, but got lazy at Florida and couldn't succeed with their unlimited resources.

Most of the names are also being mentioned by other sports outlet. Jamey Chadwell is practically mentioned everywhere. I'm also seeing Willie Fritz, Todd Monken, Kane Wommack, Alex Atkins.

Monken would get the most split of opinions. While I was ok with the option, there are many that hated it.

If you actually look at Army they are much more than just the option. They had 300+ passing yards in a game this year

He's never been shy about voicing his opinion on evolving the option or adding different things to it. He started off Army with an 85/15 run/pass ratio to 70/30 today. He's even said he'd be ok running a different offense. To me he would be a hard sell with that because GT is not in a position for a HC wanting to experiment and try new things. If he's actually a candidate, he needs to come with an established offense that got him all those wins in the first place. With that said, Chadwell already has an evolved version of the TO that is not the flexbone that PJ ran, and doesn't even look like the TO to those who think PJ's version of it is the only one there is. Chadwell would be who I would choose just on that alone, if you're going the option route.

If the question is which potential coach is either going to put the final nail in the coffin of Tech football or lead Tech to a national championship, then yes.

Sanders' style is Miami not GT. Whenever I've heard him talk he sounds like a dope. No thanks. At the P5 level you don't win solely by recruiting--Collins demonstrated that.
What a terrible take. Dude isn't satisfied with beating a team 49-7. Yeah, he's flashy, but he produces. Took a 4-7 team to an 11-2, and now 4-0 season.
