Freddie: We're confused

Their left DE just throws Joe to the ground like ... well, like one of their receivers dumping DJ.

Joe played that well enough. He ran the DE 10 yards back. It wasn't his fault JT5 couldn't step up into the pocket.

What in the friggin hell is Trey Braun doing on that play? Dude has gone full retard.

Of course we have made adjustments. The no huddle, moving guys around on the line, burning redshirts, odd formations, the unsuccessful installation of the midline for the Clemson game, more passing. It just hasn't worked. I suspect we will see the inside veer this game so that our Abacks don't have to block in space but instead just have to hit whoever is standing in the hole.

Your post reminds me of some of things we did on offense in 2008 before we were terribly good at running the outside veer. If you go back and look, we definitely had some different plays installed and I seem to remember some of that was because we were inexperienced in the base offense.

Some of our problems this year are due to preseason expectations that we would be one of the toughest games on other teams' schedules. Most of our opponents spent extra time studying film and scheming to defend Tech's offense this year. We don't have enough experience on the field to adjust to what they are doing. Fortunately, there are a limited number of tricks and strategies to disrupt what we are trying to do, so maybe we'll be able to improve in the second half of the season.

Looks like Clemson's line shifted and they weren't on the same page about who was blocking who. Not sure if it was his fault or the LT's, but that looked pathetic.

And we couldn't adjust. The center is supposed to do that and he had no clue. We're screwed and we don't learn.

This just isn't true.

Each man is responsible for their own calls. The center is almost always scooping or double teaming.

This is on PJ for not adjusting the snap counts.
