Just saying "high powered" doesn't mean they will be effective. Our garbage offense could score 50 against tulsa, kansas, and smu. VT was high powered when they had the vicks. Nepotism rearly works out. Too many chiefs and not enough indians isn't some made up bs.
There's no nepotism at play. The little Beamer is at the same spot he was under his dad.
A full spread like Fuente runs is going to get you points a whole lot more than it won't, no different than ours. The only thing that has held VT back in many recent years is a poor offense. The years they managed to figure that out in the ACC they usually won it.
Foster's defense is not what it once was. Saw The Key Play on Twitter saying how huge it was that they kept the best DC in the game, but he is far from that today.
Foster's still really good. There's probably 115 or so schools that would take him as a DC right now and we're included.
Like it or lump it that was a good hire for VT. Their program has lacked direction for several years under a very old, very tired head coach. They responded by keeping their best staff member and upping the game with a youthful, energetic coach known for turning around a really, really bad program in Memphis.
Whether Fuente works out or not, and hopefully he doesn't, this shouldn't sit well with anyone.
