I apologize in advance if there is already a guide on this site. I searched but did not get a clear hit. And well, I do not have a GT education.

I will be attending my first game at BDS this Saturday. I will not be coming to support the visiting football team, per se. My daughter is on the JSU Marching Ballerinas dance line (no pics).

What should I look forward to doing before and after the game besides preparing/repairing our my anus? We will be staying within walking distance of the stadium. Where is the best tailgating? Any traditions to observe. What are the best concessions inside? Prices for sodas, beer (if possible)

How long have you been reading this site? And you just come right out and blatantly violate Rule #1?

Tailgating folks are scattered all over the place, from the lots east of the interstate to lots that are on campus, and some greenspace on campus as well.

If you've never had the pleasure of eating at The Varsity, I highly recommend that for the experience as much as the food, which is good greasy hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, onion rings, etc. Get a Frosted Orange. You won't regret it.

Let us know where you are staying and we can probably recommend something between your hotel and the stadium to check out as well. Are you in Midtown?

5th street bridge is good tailgating, probably the highest density. There are some guys on the south side that do gay stuff in the bushes that you have to watch out for. The Varsity lot also has good tailgating and a 9 am chili dog + beer will get your day started off on the right foot.

Yellow Jacket Alley is where the Ramblin' Wreck, the band, and then the team arrives at the stadium. Starts at 10 am at the north end of Brittain Dr.

Pics you say?

It's kind of fun to watch the band play by the campanile (giant metal shaft), then run over to the library and play, then march down the hill behind the Ramblin' Wreck.

Get to your seat in time to see the Wreck lead the team onto the field - that's probably the biggest tradition we've got going on gamedays.

We're prone to periodic clusterfargery, and we're trying out new security procedures this week (I guess that's sort of a tradition), so allow a bit of extra time to get into the stadium.

 Last week we had a pretty good Vol to keep around, now this random """"JSU fan"""""""""" shows up who knows how to play the retarded game everyone here is constantly engaged in.

Next week I expect nothing less than a UCF fan with actual schizophrenia and frequent acid flashbacks.
