You know it all. ..whats the solution? We should listen to you because you know everything 4 games in. Who were you saying we should hire 9 months ago?
Stop bitching like you've been doing non-stop since the game and tell us the exact solution.
Who did I want? Someone who could recruit their nuts off. So, I got my wish I guess.
Where do I think we should go from here? Do what the coaches preach in public. Do what the guys know and can do successfully. We moved the ball the most consistently and reliably throughout the day running man 2 man blocking and heavy option concepts with PA off of those. Pretty sure it was the 2nd or 3rd series of the game when that started. TO looked at least serviceable in the pass game under those concepts. When we went zone and straight drop back with him, a total laughingstock cluster öööö. TO will never be able to stand on the pocket and read a defense or throw timing routes.
We run heavy spread formations but with the way teams play us we force our 5 to block their 6 or 7. That’s maddeningly stupid given our talent level to begin with at OL. Stop doing that öööö.
LJ and TO should be done at QB for their careers. They’re not part of the future and every rep in practice they take from JG was and will continue to be thievery. TO needs to be involved with some freshman Tebow like packages or outright converted to WR. He continues to need the ball in his hands in some capacity.
How can I blame the coaches for TO’s fumble at the one inch line.. that would’ve given us a score and he’s a player is he not?
Players make mistakes. Unquestionably.
But coaches lead and coach players into a NCAA worst 13 points per game over the first quarter of the season. That’s 100% on the current coaches. I find it pretty lazy analysis to just point at the previous guy along with the mere hope for the future. The state of our offense is ööööing embarrassing
even with the state of talent that was left. I’m still onboard the CGC juice train, but the management and coaching of the O should be absolutely terrifying to everyone regardless how one felt about the previous staff.
To CGC’s credit, the D looks tons better, even with a similar level of horrible and devastating depth and talent at key positions (DL/LB). So, if the D can be improved and made to look promising with öööö parts, there’s no reason the O should be in the state that it’s in through 4 games.
There’s a titanic gulf between those two facts.
