Gator Bowl not happy...

I know something about tickets

and the Gator is going to be very happy this year. CG not GT are going to come off looking badly but I can assure you many orders to the GTAA will be shipped to WV.

Those people are plain crazy.

The SECC will always sell out because most years supply is not as great as demand meaning there is a secondary market for them. So, brokers buy them up to make a profit. and this year they found out making a profit on the SECC is not a sure thing. SEC fans travel when they can plan their year in advance and can drive their trucks or trailers to the event.

The BCS game is falling hard because UF and their 90K fans aren't going to spend money to go to AZ. Ohio State OTOH will spend money and will have 80% of the fans there.

So, the ACC just needs one great year like next year in CLT with VT playing Clemson and the game will be sold out for years to come.

thwg,

How do you think the scalping situation will be at the Gator. I know that WVU travels well to this thing and that's why they were picked over Texas, but they won't sell out the stadium by themselves, will they? I'm looking to show up in JAX and find a cheap single, and I'm wondering if you think the scalping situation will be like the ACCCG.

Also, I think UF will travel fine to the BCS game. If going the opposite way on I-75 was any indication, they travelled in droves to Atlanta. They also haven't played for an MNC since 1997.

'CitySting' and 'Geetee' are the same person. Check the DOB on the profiles then read the nature of the posts by 'each'.

Edited:
Gee, not long after I posted this GeeTee's birth date changed from Nov. 30 to July 20, 1964, plus he added some info to his profile.
Can we call you PI GT65_UGA89? Nice work. Why do people feel like they need two handles?

The birth date listed for me is not even close. Don't use birth date as sure fire evidence.

I do agree that folks having double identities is really strange behaviour though.

My birth date is accurate in year only. I was referring to the fact that 'Geetee' and 'CitySting' profiles both listed the birthday as Nov. 30.

But that is only one of several 'clues' if you will that I have become conscious of during the last few weeks.

i think good seats will be $25-$30 on the street but prob less for singles. I think it may sell out. The WVU folks have bought tens of thousands through all means already. If it's a pretty day it may sell out especially if GT announces a QB change.

Believe me, the BCS is flaling hard. SEC fans don't fly. they spend their money on food, beer, and gas not fine hotels, airfare, and expensive restaurants. Good tickets were $2000 each for the BCS on Saturday and are now $1250 each and falling. There are enough OSU fans though to bottom out the market soon. But then when UF's tix hit the street, it will fall again IMO.

SEC fans didn't know you can play a game and not drive there; they've never done it. LSU and UT are the exception and travel well regardless.

No, actually you do Geetee. ;)

consipiracy theorist alert.. all GT fans accept mediocrity except those that speak out. If you do, it is really the mastermind of one person!

Warning, Will Robinson! :laugher:

Mover, I believe I saw a post from Mover2 that the games you went to this year were Notre Dame, Clemson, Georgia, and the ACCCG. Maybe Reggie isn't the real problem.:laugher:

If you don't mind driving a few miles further, we can get you some Capital One Bowl tickets. Just root for the team with the bad offense (Arkansas) and it'll be just like a Tech game.

I don't believe the GB will be close to selling out. My pure guess is that there were 50k at the ACCCG, and 35k were Tech fans. I'm thinking that we'll do very well to get half that for the GB. If Rod goes to Bama, I'd have to think that would affect WV's ticket sales. Speaking of which, I just heard ESPN say that he has agreed in principal to a 6 year $12 mill deal....

I'll be part of a crew of 6 at the GB.

Definitely true. UGag hasn't played a game out of the south in many years, are they going to Colorado next year? I don't think too many buttsniffer fans could find Boulder.

I don't think their 1974 Ford Bronco with the rust spots will make it up that last hill. The good news is that they may be able to coast backwards all the way to Athens since it is such a huge pit that sucks.

I've been meaning on posting this for a while. But, I have breaking news.

The problem with Georgia Tech football is not head coach Chan Gailey! The problem isn't Reggie or Patrick Nix either.

Yes, I've determined that the problem with Georgia Tech football this year, is that they've been unable to keep me from going to away games. I've been to every home game, but it's the away games where I'm destined to make the team lose. Here's a breakdown.

Been to: Clemson, UGA, Wake Forest (ACCCG)
Not Been to: Vatech!, NC St., UNC, (any other I forgot)

I think the problem is clear. Let's just say that I won't be headed back to Jacksonville for New Years. Expect a win from the Jackets.
