I think you are missing everyones point... It is not the losses, it is how we are losing.... last year we heard that the players were playing hard... Not sure I bought that, but hey it is a rebuild year, a zero year an the transfers could not play.. This year all transfers can play... and yesterday Boston College entered the game averaging only 66 rushing yards per game, with a season high of 90 rushing yards. The Eagles finished with 264 rushing yards and scored 48 points. This is worse than any Paul Johnson Defense... This is Bill Lewis type stuff

The thing I wonder is were the defenses at Temple worse? I don't know about the position coaches, but it's the same set at the top of Collins and Thacker. If the defenses there weren't worse, then either we're going to say the coaches forgot how to coach or that the players are worse in some way. If the defenses were the same, then fk all.

I dunno if anyone really plays defense in the AAC, but they did get some guys drafted, unlike us. They weren't really there long enough to draw solid conclusions. Our upperclassmen are on their third defensive scheme and it shows. Honestly, I think we are going to need some coaching continuity before we know what we have, which means more short term pain.

Will you stop with the wins and losses crap like you know what you're talking about?. If you had ever played the game you would see what a lot of people are saying. It's not specifically the wins and losses at this point, it is the EFFORT, it is the FUNDAMENTALS, it is ASSIGNMENTS. THAT is football. I can take losing IF the team is giving it their all and playing sound football. Sometimes you win with Jimmys and Joes and sometimes you win simply because the ball bounces your way. But to be in that position, you have to play sound fundamental football. And right now we are NOT! That falls on one person, Collins.

So you are saying only people who played P5 football have an opinion that matters? We are at a talent deficit.... everyone knows that. Speaking of ball bouncing..... the late holding on the Gibbs TD that turned into a 14 point swing didn't matter I guess

That’s exactly what he’s talking about. Collins allows these repeated idiot decisions to continue on and on and on without any regard to actually address the ööööing problems.

Case in point — in 2015 we won 3 games, not a season to remember. BUT, we lost by a TD or less in what, 5 or 6 games? We were in games - the season Still sucked, but totally different feel than getting blown out by two of the worst ACC teams.

We would have had a 10 yard net on a punt, most likely, and would have absolutely missed a FG. The throw was lofted just a bit and allowed the second defender to catch up. It was a good play that didn't work.

Except clearly we weren't punting it, so we were basically running a pass play with our punter instead of our QB.

In fairness, I hear that worked great for Clemson.

Coaching decisions need to be based on FUNDAMENTALS , too. It was completely baffling to me that, with Yates and Gleason on the bench, Graham got the call. The conclusion is Graham is better---but not as good as Sims.
