Georgia Tech among top in recruiting expenses

Oh wait, because it benefits the GTAA and we're all hypocrites in that we only oppose things that hurt the GTAA and support things that benefit the GTAA.

Maybe because this is a GEORGIA TECH SPORTS message board. Surprisingly, people who post here care about the GTAA and want what is best for it. If you want to go on a tirade like this, take it to a GT Academics forum. Or a 'morality' forum.

Or you could grow some balls and have an opinion.

I'm glad you think the AA is doing a great job. What are the chances we break 45,000 average attendance next season?

You can't tell the non-sheep to ---- off then bitch when they don't come to games and donate.

And you certainly can't claim the "gold standard" and that GT is a morally superior institute when you also claim that we should support all things that benefit the GTAA, regardless of morality.

Back on topic, the Annual Report came out recently showing that the recruiting expenses were even higher than reported in that chart. We actually jump Florida to #6. They are also up nearly $500K from last year, which would have placed us 35th.

As for the complaint that we should have better teams due to the high expense, most of this money was spent recruiting kids that aren't even on campus yet. Maybe the increase will bring a better quality of athlete.

They have to take Cal1 and Cal2 or Survey and Finite

Still much more difficult than the schools where you can graduate with one high school level algebra class.

Management majors no longer have to take calculus. Or CS with the engineers / CS majors. Or Physics. Or Chemistry. And there's a new lab science which is "Chemistry for non Chemistry-related majors".

GT academics have softened up a TON in the last 10 years for athletes riding the M-train.

Something about that doesn't quite make sense to me. How is Marquette #11 when they don't even have a major football team? Do they really spend that much on basketball, where you have 1/5 the recruits?

I think Tech has the problem of having both a top-tier football and basketball program. Notice who is at #15.

Do you honestly think we have a top-tier football and basketball program?
