I think him and Sims are extremely complementary to each other in the backfield. Gibbs needs the ball. Sims wants to feed Gibbs the ball.
IMO, Gibbs leaving makes very little sense, but I suppose he has a plan. He would absolutely be part of the 1/2 Sims/Gibbs punch. With Mason leaving, we have Smith and Griffin to also carry load and play in the two back sets with Gibbs or play one in the slot, aka Mccollum. Move Gibbs around. Get him the ball. Slot one play. RB another. Split wide another. Wildcat with Sims at WR. 3 back with Smith at wildcat with Griffin and Gibbs in the backfield.
We need to open it up.
