I see lots of players in for a rude awakening as discipline will be brought back swiftly starting tomorrow. The times they are a changing for the players and I see a very hard offseason coming up. Probably see some transfers IMO
 
I just hope CPJ can get them to "buy in" to the program and they don't rebel. I am really nervous.

Hey 56 Nate, do you know anything about this Wommack cat. Will he be a good DC? Im tired of seeing passing teams light us up like today. What do you know about Wommack? Our D needs a fire lit under em...I saw the D walking around today with no fire...Joe Ham mentioned seeing the same thing on the sidelines at the ugag game...

Who gives a **** if they rebell or however you spell it. Show up and be accounted for or leave, that should be the motto.

Well, if they rebel, then you know who is soft. Makes the weed out process that much easier. Boot them off. Seems easy enough.
 
So do you guys want a Tech version of the Junction Boys next year?
 
I called the local police department to report a missing persons report on our defense and they said they'd look into it.

Seriously though. The performance today was not the sign of a hard nosed and a mentally sound group. Not sure if it is just a sign of what can happen when this much turmoil occurs during a coaching change but I would think that pride would overcome all else. I'm optimistic that we will see some improvement on this front beginning right now.
 
You can bet on this under PJ. The team will be coached and they will respect the coaching staff or they will be gone. PJ hates to lose, and he is a perfectionist when it comes to his offense.

He will give Wommack the reigns on D, but he will expect accountability.

Don't be surprised to see those dreadlocks disappear. PJ will want those players thinking about getting an education, winning football, teamwork and becoming a man who represents himself, his family and GT well. He will have no tolerance for how cool a player thinks he can look.

OK GT. It's time to play championship football!

Isn't that sort of what Boby Ross did with the team in 1990? Didn't he take them up to the North GA mountains for preseason practice? Or was that a different season that I'm thinking of?

As a young black male with an engineering degree from Tech I find your remark to be ignorant and tasteless. Some of those "dreadlocked" players happen to be some of the best players on the team.

I feel your passion for change but please refrain from blanket statements based on a persons hairstyle. ok? :biggthumpup:

It doesn't matter if it is black OR white dreadlocks, I hope PJ kicks arse and makes them cut it.

I think I saw Wommack's defense at Southern Miss. in the bowl game with mohawks.

It is time for a new mindset and attitude adjustment!!!

I happen to know PJ personally, and he's pretty conservative when it comes to how his team looks and acts. Expect a lot of "yes sir and yes ma'am" out of the players, starting when PJ has his first team meeting.

If you know him, ask him if he is going to be committed to defense now that he can recruit athletes on that side of the ball. I know he didn't have access to good athletes at Navy, so Im very curious if he will make that committment here, to recruit great defensive athletes and emphasize defense. We all know he is an offensive guru, but im real concerned as to defense.

I agree. All the hair hanging out from under the helmet doesn't look good, especially to a televised audience.

There's nothing racist about his comments, you like it or you don't. Don't make it into something it's not.

Blanket or not they all need to cut their hair, Do you have a problem with that? Dunmon is number 1 on my list to get his hair cut. I'm white am I racist?
