GT Fan Experience Enhancements

Most stadiums do not allow any food or drinks to be brought in. Most other schools make everyone have a ticket, infants included. Buy a drink and a hotdog, pay for a babysitter and watch a college football game. Its not the freeking Stn Mtn lazer show. Its a college football game. I would be OK w less 2 years olds and more drunk rowdy fans who are ok with buying a drink at the concession stand.

I am just providing commentary, I am not judging. But the uga fans that buy tickets are doing more for our program than your free tickets and Columbia fleece from Kohl's.

Not sure where "Columbia fleece from kohls" comes from. Literally the only thing I'm not doing is buying season tickets. I'm 100% in otherwise. I also like sitting in different areas in the stadium. There are plenty of other ways to contribute to the program. I am also not trying to start a pissing contest of one ups of who gives more etc. Just stating that for me personally season tickets are completely useless and until its not going straight to Brian Gregory or Paul Hewitt I may get them again. But I'm sorry, Virginia at home when 30 thousand are in the stands is not worth the season ticket face value.

Dude, I spend well over 200$ + a year on gt memorbilia, bookstore, parking, etc. I don't give a öööö about overpaying a rich athletic association that wastes money on previous basketball coaches for tickets. There are other ways to contribute than over paying for season tickets.

Wow, $200 a year on the bookstore and parking and shit. You really are helping out our athletic programs, good for you!

I don't care what *other* schools do.

The point is buying season tickets isn't the only contribution you can make to the program. In fact it is just one flat payment. Especially when they are overpriced. All I'm saying.

By over-priced you mean there is a margin built in to help, say, the football program?

I guess if I had a Columbia fleece from Kohl's, I'd never show up to noon kicks either. I feel you fam.

I live in Athens, the Kohls here only carries uga and ncst (because why not?) gear. Noon games are my specialty. GTFO of here. Isn't the whole point of selling tickets to help, say, the football program? No matter where I get them from. I'm sorry I don't want to pay an extra $230 on them. Like I said I'm fine contributing that money in other ways, and I like sitting in different areas. Not a hard concept to grasp, not sure why I need to explain it so many times.

I just wanted you to acknowledge you’ve gone to Kohl’s actively seeking out a Columbia fleece. But don’t act like you don’t kohls.com. I got my fleece b1g1. Made me feel good that I was on a small way financing a 2* scholarship.

In all honestly I would also never, ever spend money on a jacket at Kohls. Or anything for that matter. Maybe one of those shirts that says "everything is all fun and games until someone loses a nut" with a picure of a squirell dropping a nut off a tree. I may or may not have purchased this already.

As we’ve explained many times, you paying a guy on the street $5 for a ticket doesn’t help the program at all. Surely you are smart enough to understand how that works?

And the rest of us pay for parking and clothing at the bookstore, etc, etc. So that’s a non starter. We are talking about paying GTAA for tickets directly, so as to benefit the program that we support.

I typically buy tickets online. I hardly ever scalp for tickets. Actually I can't remember the last time I did, '09 Clemson maybe? Got lucky for $40.

I didn't mean for this to get out of hand. Just dropping my opinion that season tix are a waste of my money. Sorry it hurt your butt

Already know one couple who definitely aren't renewing. This was just the final nail in the coffin. They are sidewalk fans who had a kid at GT. Just told me it wasn't really worth it with the airport type security in place. I believe they were leaning towards not renewing anyway. iiwii

Airport style security is fast becoming a fact of life. It's been at the Masters for several years and is done about as well as possible, imo.

Season tickets aren't supposed to be sold at-cost. Do you have any idea how business finances work...at all?
