GT Fan Experience Enhancements

If you want to raise more money, crack down on liquor and sell beer. I will gladly fork over an additional $24/game for two beers. Allow outside water.

Why would you gladly overpay for beer but not water?

In America, consumers perceive alcohol as a luxury and perceive water is as a necessity. Dicking over regular customers for perceived necessities pisses them off. This is why everyone loves the cheap hot dogs at MBS despite having paid absurd ticket prices to get in.

I had really high hopes that our brand management and gameday experience was in good hands with Stansbury. This is the first time I'm questioning if he knows what he is doing.

They are providing water filling stations that will be free. So they are addressing the necessity. Since you are used to bringing in a bag filled with heavy water bottles, it should be no problem for you to bring in empty bottles, right?

Dork.

I know you're acting like a dipshit just to be annoying but you do bring up a good point - who knows, maybe this will be the the first time GTAA knocks a concessions decision out of the park and provides adequate facilities to service the free water bottles. Of course, anyone that likes the game would rather just have them at their seat, so no matter what they put in for filling stations, this is a downgrade, not an upgrade.

Believe it or not, allowing outside water AND providing free empty bottles/filling stations is also an option. I'm surprised the smartest poster on the board didn't come up with that solution already!

I'm not acting like a dipshit, I just don't see what the big deal is about water. I drink water, just like any normal human. When I need water, I go to the concessions and get it. Since I properly hydrate as a normal course of my life, I can make it through a game with one bottle of water, even in the hottest of September games. As a matter of fact, I intentionally plan my hydrating so that I'm not having to go to the bathroom every 30 minutes during the game.

And I've also said in this thread several times that I do see a problem with this policy, specifically the flat out banning of bags. I can see where it would be useful to require those with bags to enter through limited access points, and maybe even have to arrive early or wait in very long lines, but those are the choices that we would be free to make for ourselves. But no, I don't see the big deal about banning outside food and drink.

So back to the bags. Bags are not the problem. Inspecting the bag is the problem. So figure out how to inspect bags more efficiently. Or, figure out how to separate those with bags from those without bags more efficiently so that those without bags aren't impacted by those with bags. This is a simple thought process. Not sure why GTAA don't get it.

You think hot dogs are a necessity?

The lines at concessions, at least in the UN, are worse than the lines to get into the game, imo.

You sit with the poors, you get service like the poors. Upper West concessions are usually pretty efficient.

But the easy solution to this is to have vendors roam the aisles. I wonder why they did away with this in the first place?

Vendors still roam the aisles in the LW. Stopping them is something that I wish for since all they do for me is block the view of the game.

I cant believe you sheeple are so dense as to not see the play here. Its written right there in the title.

I once went to a beer/pork festival where the ticket guaranteed you unlimited beer and food, but water cost $5 and it came out of a box. And it was like ninety degrees out. People were beyond pissed.

Already know one couple who definitely aren't renewing. This was just the final nail in the coffin. They are sidewalk fans who had a kid at GT. Just told me it wasn't really worth it with the airport type security in place. I believe they were leaning towards not renewing anyway. iiwii
