GT Fan Experience Enhancements

Nobody gives a öööö what other schools do. We consistently have below-capacity crowds that don't show up until the 2nd quarter. That's not other schools' problem, that's our problem.

Unlike W-L records, gameday experience is 100% under the GTAA's control. GTAA probably shouldn't listen too closely to fans about how to run our team. They should, however, listen to fans who are dropping season tickets due to stadium policy changes.
The Falcons have this same bag policy too

You cannot even compare the NFL to Georgia Tech football. However the Falcons have priced them selves out of the common man budget with the PSL's. Take a look at any game and look at the Game and take a look at the $45,000 seats. Those were purchased primarily by corporations and over half are always empty. The true fan is no longer appreciated. I will not sit by and do nothing. Once again this idea may seem silly to many of you but at some point if we don't stand up for our selves no one else will. If everyone on this board that were season-ticket holder's called and complained as I'm going to do as soon as they open, something might be done. However most of you on this board will sit around bitch moan and groan about something but never try and do anything about it

I'm sure Stansbury has heard the complaints. If he hasn't, he's a moron. I just wonder if he will ever have the balls to come out and say "I got rid of the policy because öööö you, that's why"

To show your dislike call Stephanie Swant at the Georgia Tech. She is under Stansburry. Her number is 404 894-5411

As some have mentioned, if people had never been allowed to bring in food and drink it would not be an issue. But taking away something people already have is always tough. That's just basic human nature which has been confirmed time and time again. GTAA should have realized that and taken a different approach to generate revenue and/or speed up lines.

I guess we don't want to have Stansbury's Canadian babies anymore. It's just not smart to generate bad will when you're about to start asking people for even more donations. It isn't like this is going to be a revenue game changer. People hate being nickled n' dimed. It's a misstep that should be corrected.

Bitches, like Stansbury wants us to be. öööö the ööööing Falcons.

Some poor guy working the GTAA today got more than he bargained for when he texted me about season ticket renewals coming up. I'm guessing he escalated it to his boss, which then resulted in them finally replying to the email I sent when this was first announced. Before reading their response, you should know I didn't complain at all about the purse shit, the new security policy, etc. I only complained about their downgrading the season ticket bags to not bringing in food/drink anymore, how that prevents bringing water in for all our Noon-U scorchers, and the abysmal state of concessions:

Thank you for your note and for sharing your concerns about our clear bag policy. There are two factors that led to the decision to follow the lead of every NFL team and most major college programs and implement a clear bag policy:

1) According to information and recommendations provided by Georgia Tech Police, Bobby Dodd Stadium is a potential soft target for security threats and, therefore, security must continue to be enhanced.

2) The amount of time that it took to go through security (including required electromagnetic wanding and bag checks) before entering the Bobby Dodd Stadium in 2017 was a primary concern of our fans, based on feedback and survey results.

Unfortunately, the only way to enhance security without increasing the amount of time that it takes to get into the stadium is to limit the items that need to be checked at each entrance. The implementation of the clear bag policy will allow security personnel to thoroughly review items that are being brought into the stadium in the most timely manner possible.

We hope to offset any inconvenience by offering new benefits to our most loyal fans including special discounts on concessions, free adidas t-shirts (one per ticket, not one per account!) and a free water bottle for season-ticket holders. We also plan to add additional points of sale for concessions and water bottle filling stations for the convenience of all fans.

Thank you again for your comments, your feedback and, most of all, your support of Georgia Tech athletics!

Go Jackets!

Just like the school (not GTAA)'s response to the shit they pulled on Instagram for the national championship game, this reads exactly like a "we don't care, shut up and deal with it" response.

I think it was a further insult to call it an "enhancement" while burying the details in an FAQ section. GTAA was absolutely trying to sneak this through with as little attention paid to it as possible.

Now, Stansbury is apparently barricaded in his office, refusing to communicate with us dangerous season ticket holders. I guess MBob must have infected him.

It takes very little to say "whoops, my bad" and correct the situation. I normally get a hot dog, hamburger (which I have to go to the LW to get) or a Sonny's BBQ sandwich (new to this past season) in the stadium before the band comes down the hill to play the stairs. I try to support the program, but damn halftime lines are ridiculous at UN concessions.

To top it off, my daughter and I went walking around the stadium at halftime of homecoming this past season. We stopped in the lower north in the corner where it joins the LE out of the flow of traffic, there is a fairly large area there, just to watch the crowning of Mr and Miss GT. We IMMEDIATELY got yelled at by security to "keep moving, no standing! Sir, return to your seat!" even though we were back and away against the wall out of the flow of traffic. I said "hang on a second, I will move in a minute after this" to which the security personnel said "sir, I've asked to to keep moving, now MOVE!" to which I said "shut the hell up. My family and I have been season ticket holders here most of my life. Wait a damn minute while I watch this and then I will move" - which, of course, I missed since the asshole was arguing with me. One of the security personnel left to go get a supervisor or cop or something, I suppose to kick me out. Since the crowning was over, I told the other security guard my seats were in 218, row 8, if they wanted to come get me since halftime was almost over.

A soft target? So our season tix holders are now potential terrorists? Couldn't someone just walk calmly to the gate and then sprint in if they really wanted to do damage? There is no stopping a person like that. Clear bags are searched, assholes.

Apparently we can't bring in outside water bottles because 9/11.

Surprising that cops think that more security is needed.

They effectively sent you a ctrl-c,ctrl-v of what they posted on Twitter. The GTPD made us do this but we’re rewarding you with discounted concessions (1 5% off coupon a game!).

Using the coupons is going to be a clusterfuck. Concessions is already a clusterfuck with the volunteers basically not knowing their ass from a hole in the ground. Now they’re expected to calculate discounts

Even more surprising Stansbury didn't have the balls to say "deal with it, GT PD. How about stopping a mugging sometime?"

It comes down to cops looking real cool dressed in their battle garb with an AR ready to go.

And while we are on the subject of assholes, when to did the Ramblin Reck club get to be such little assholes. Little ööööers, the ööööing car doesn't need a 30' wide opening during the Tech walk, especially since it is normally a small crowd. Constantly yelling "MOVE BACK!!! GET ON THE CURB!!! MOVE BACK!!!" is pretty annoying to the fans awaiting the team. Perhaps you should just park the car and put a velvet rope around it.
