Gutsy effort, but we have a real problem on offense.

I have been giving Bennett the benefit of the doubt, but 7/15 67 yards and an INT ain't going to cut it. I never thought I would say this but it is apparently obvious why he never replaced Reggie Ball last year. He is a highschool Quarterback at best whose been taught not to make costly mistakes but he cannot move the ball. Booker should in the least been given a shot to play at some point in that game and in the very least, the next game.

I'm not defending him much here, but we did have several easy catches dropped.

Now, tripping over your own feet is another thing.

The receivers hurt TB today. He had HORRIBLE #'s but from a confidence standpoint, I'm not too down on him.

However, our offense was pretty bland...but who really cares when ya win right?

You gotta remember that Clemson does have a pretty good defense.

Boston College is loving us today.

Honestly, I would love to see if Booker can move the offense. I am just tired of seeing open recievers over the middle and such while the ball is being thrown in the flat or to the sidelines. Nesbitt didnt do anything while he was in so I say give Booker a shot.

P.S. I like Taylor and think he can be a decent QB. He is just not executing. Not to mention the WR drops down field

I thought Taylor looked much more confident in the pocket today. Granted, I didn't get to see the UVa game, but it looks like he's throwing the ball a lot better. It's just a combination of either him not executing or the WRs not catching the passes. But I definitely do think he has potential to be a consistently decent QB.

Not if he continues to throw those underneath routes that only get us like 2 or 3 yards.

Good effort today, they came to play, not stand on the sidelines with that far away look in their eyes. If they play this way every week for the rest of the year, whether they win or lose, I can give them some respect.

Respect today for the defense, most of the offense, special teams, punting and a field goal kicker who turned himself around.

Its amazing how much different we looked emotionally.

What in the hell is up with that?

If we played with that kind of spunk every Saturday, we'd be a 9-10 win team EVERY year.

Can we just give those guys like a bunch of Red Bulls or something?

Whether it's Taylor or not, our offense is very bad. Sure we can run the ball in spurts but you have to be able to throw it to score TDs.

I must agree that our offense only had 6 real points this game. The touchdown came on a blocked punt and we needed a PI call to even get that.

Our biggest problem, by far, is the WRs and TEs. I'm pretty sure there were at least three obvious drops and TB's line goes from 7/15 to 10/15. Big difference there.

If you want to play it that way our offense only had 3 points. One of the field goals followed a fumble recovery which we only picked up 11 yards after.

Our offense is a disaster.

I cannot put the offensive woes all on the shoulders of TB. Whether it's design out of confidence in the running game, or lack of confidence in the passing game --GT continues to put it's offense in 3rd and long situations by running the football on 2nd and long.

In the first quarter Tech passed 3 times on 2nd -long and ran twice on 2nd -long.

From that point forward the breakdown was pass once and run 7 times on 2nd -long. Granted that 2 of the 4 2nd -long runs in the 4th quarter were on that awesome final drive and were the correct calls to make given the clock and Clemson's time out situation.

I would just like to see the Jackets open up a little bit on 1st and 2nd down.

Tuminello stepped on his foot. That is why he tripped and fumbled.

Just so everyone will know I am not a racist-- Taylor Bennett stinks as bad as Reggie Ball ever did. Bench Taylor Bennett and try someone else, anybody else. Put Nesbitt in. I am displeased as a fan with our QB position.

I don't want to disparage Taylor Bennett or Reggie Ball, for that matter. They are two young men who must be the best we have who I am sure gave/give us their best.

My problem is that we are not developing QB's well at all. Several we were pleased to recruit have transferred out. The ones we play seem poorly prepared to execute an effective offense.

We are getting below standard play at QB over a period of years that we have an excellent defense, good running backs, decent special teams, and adequate receivers (excellent when Calvin was with us).

We have to step up the coaching of QB's and coordination of the offense. The other pieces are in place for success.

I will foreve be amazed that after a great win, the majority of the posts are critical. However, in defense of TB, if our young WRs would make catches like I see made for other teams, we wouldn't be criticizing TB. I still believe time and experience will allow both to improve substantially.

Everyone is happy with the win. It was a tremendous effort and gutsy win with our backs against the wall. However, we have serious problems on offense and that should be obvious.
