Not anymore:1. He was a proud to be part of Tech, & took his association seriously..

Q: Speaking of Georgia, wouldn’t you like one more chance to beat the Bulldogs?
Gailey: You always want the opportunity to win a game, but that also comes with the opportunity to lose. I’ve had my opportunities. Let’s give the younger guys a chance.
I actually pull for Georgia now. I have a great deal of respect for Mark Richt.

Btw, how Chan is that? He doesn't want another opportunity for a win, because he might lose!
Mediocrity is his cup of tea, he fits right in the NFL blender, mix recycle mix again.you might choose to notice that the franchises he worked for represent the elite of ownerships in the NFL (except the Jets)
you could give the man his due, that he is a pretty good NFL system guy; accept the fact that college wasnt his cup of tea, and be done with it
or you can continue to pile up on a dead horse like ööööty tacklers that just jump on guys that are already down to make themselves look as if they had anything to contribute
chan is better than all of you on this board, otherwise get a ööööing job in coaching and stfu, cuz you wont have any time to be posting negative crap about ex-coaches
chan has helped a bunch of GaTech players get into the pros, get looks from the pros, and more. if you note his ex-players pretty much all defend him and talk positively about him
its mostly the mediocre fans who still wish to put the guy down.
Well just öööö Czar. You were making some very cogent observations in defense of Gailey's tenure, then you had to screw it up by telling me to "go back to dwagville" and calling me silverbritchies!he can have an opinion all he wants. but his comments contradict FACTS, not opinions
FACT: Chan won the ACC Coastal and went to the ACC CG
FACT: Chan went to three Super Bowls as part of the Broncos staff, then another one as OC of the Steelers.
FACT: after the Cowboys went 6-10 with Switzer, they won the NFC East and went 10-6 under Gailey. he took them to to playoffs again in '99 even though they lost Irvin to a spinal injury. the Cowboys then fired him. they did not win a playoff game until 2009, even with Bill Parcells
FACT: the Bills much improved from bottom-dweller to near-playoff team under Gailey.
as i said before, he really does well in certain roles - just like how he managed our 'personnel' crisis of losing a bunch of players and scholarships pretty well. He is great at taking teams that are about to go down the drain and prop them up to be reasonably decent.
i have no problem with anyone saying that his time at GaTech was a mixed result, but to say that he is a "total failure" is a comment only an uninformed DUMBASS would make. you know, based on FACTS
go back to Dwagville, silverbitchies
Chan was the worst coach in the history of Georgia Tech and set our program back decades that only Paul Johnson's manliness was able ot overcome.
I don't trash talk Chan on here (and really try not to trash talk any former players/coaches or post about them every time they have a career development), but am I still allowed to be happy that he's no longer the coach of Georgia Tech football? I mean, I'm happy for him that he continues to have a fruitful career, but I didn't like him as a college coach, despite the fact that he made it to the ACCCG one year.
EDIT: I take point #1 back. There was no best thing about that game
Fact: I don't give a flying öööö what Chan Gailey did when he wasn't employed for the Georgia Institute of Technology. If your wife gave her college boyfriend a great blowjob whenever he asked, it does nothing for you now.
Chan should have been fired the day after we lost the worst ACC Championship game ever.

i dont really disagree with anything you said about his performance at Tech. all i said that is that if you call him a "total failure" then, based on facts, that is a dumbass statement
i am not here to be a knight for Chan Gailey; im just tired of the constant and continuous infantile piling on top of ex-coaches by wanna-be coaches
