My name is not even in the picture. A decent OC would not have called the crappy plays he called against Miami last week (the STUPID razzle-dazzle play) or the 2-pointer earlier in the season, when he threw backwards, and the receiver had 10 more yards to gain than we needed, and obviously came nowhere close to making it. Tonight, we take the lead, and he goes conservative on the next series (after getting the ball on an interception). Other than Tysun milking the clock the whole game when he was in, he apparently didn't tell Gibson to milk it when we really needed to burn as much clock as possible. The fact that nobody at ND complained when he left South Bend, and that Tulane is doing much better this year without him than last year with him says everything.

A great win (UNC), a good win (Pitt), and two decent wins (VT and Duke). Also some pretty bad losses. I'd be hesitant to hand him the job long-term. But I get it... people are starving for something positive after the past four years.

This. It’d be a REALLY tough to make a case for another HC if Key can go 5-3, with wins over UGA, VT, and a ranked UNC. Granted, that’s an enormous “if”
 
Anyone saying “muh… option” to Chadwell has clearly never watched a single Coastal game. Watch this short video and tell me how any of this is opposite that of a “non high school offense.”

We aren’t beating the mutts and this game is irrelevant
 
the starting QB quit the team. And we are 4-3. His only mistake was playing Gibson against UVA and starting him against FSU.

And getting clapped in both those games offensively… his defense kept us in there against UVA, which is attributed to Thacker, and FSU even our defense couldn’t get it going. Our offense hasn’t scored more than 28 points under Key. And Key hasn’t worked at all with the defense before this job, and I doubt he’s doing much with them since he’s NEVER been on that side of the ball. Is this really HIS success?

Looks like Chip Long offense with a deep back. That isn't proving anything.

All spread offenses look alike. Chip doesn’t do ANY option stuff in his offense. Chips (and Keys) blocking schemes are horrible. Why are we blaming the coordinators for the bad things, but praising Key for the good things? He’s a motivator, and that’s about as much as you would want him to be.
