I’m still mad and I will never get over this

It hurts so much bros, how do we move on?

"LET IT TURN, LET IT TURN INTO SOMETHING ELSE"

No doubt it was a heartbreaker, by the second overtime, I was just ready for the game to be over. So much emotion and anxiety poured into this one game. Let's face it, overtime has never been our strong suite, but we damn near beat them in overtime and made them realize just how vulnerable they are. I know , I know there are no moral victories, but this 8 OT game should be a building block to a brighter future for GT football.

P.S Hook 'em Horns!

I've always said that it's going to take a complete change in the attitude of the overall Institute on regards to athletics...in particular football.

No more, "But the value of my degree....." talk or "but the legislature and the Regents won't let us add easy mayors....". Everyone involved with Georgia Tech....from the janitor to the President to the students to the alumni to the sidewalk fans should be pissed off at how much ugag takes this series seriously and are fanatical about NEVER losing to Georgia Tech in ANYTHING.

It's time to start pushing back. Start adding more majors that don't require calculus. Hell, do what they do: Add basket-weaving majors. Do what UNC did: Fake majors. Yes, that was an embarrassing moment for them, but has it really hurt them? Not really.

If the president and the administration start to support athletics....I mean REALLY support athletics and start getting objections from the dwag governor (can you imagine THAT guy presenting that stupid Cup wearing red the other night), if the Regents and the legislature object, flip the middle finger at them and say, "Watch us and we'll see you assholes in court and decades of evidence will be exposed showing collusion and corruption between ugag and the powers in the state aimed at keeping GT from fairly competing, go for it, assholes."

Bottom line is stop being pussies and push back. Fight back. That has to extend down the administration, faculty, the students, janitor, alumni, and sidewalk fans. If the Carol Moores of Georgia Tech object, show her fat ass the door. Any professors...same thing tenured or not. We're sick and tired of winning once or twice a decade against them and going a quarter century of not winning at home.

The dwags are basically bullies. But what happens to bullies when you take a roundhouse swing and break and bloody their noses? They crumble and cry like the little bitches they are. Stop being bullied by the "big brother" and start pushing back and start kicking their asses. Do whatever it takes to get to that point.

And that, my friends, will require a complete change in the Institutional attitude at Georgia Tech. The president has already started the process when he fired Pennywise the Clown and Stansbury and we FINALLY have a coach who literally hates ugag and wants to DOMINATE them. Let's give him what he wants.

And I don't want to read anymore whining about "we can't compete with both hands ties behind our backs crap because 'they' won't let us" crap. Man up and fight back.

GO JACKETS!!

Earlier that day we had to put our 18 year old dog down. I don't know what hurt worse, the game or seeing our dog take it's last breath.

The loss is one of the most heartbreaking in the history of sports going back to the ancient Greeks. We may need group therapy.

If the loss is part of a trajectory of improving year after year and overtaking them it'll be easier to stomach. If we peaked and missed our chance to surpass them, I think it will be a day that will live in infamy.

My buddy and I debated which was worse - this or 09.
He voted for 09.
I said this one, because even though we were better than them in 09 and pissed it away, we still had a chance at the end.
This one, we outplayed them for 55 minutes. But not 60.

Not only did we outplay them, but with a potential loss to Texas in the SECCG, a Tech win absolutely eliminates them from the CFP.

I have seldom seen a Tech team dominate UGA the way this team did Friday night, maybe in ‘84, but probably not. You have to bring home the W when you play the way we did for 54+ minutes.

76 was followed by 77. 83 was followed by 84. 97 was followed by 98. 2013 was followed by 2014. 2015 was followed by 2016.

It took a while, but 71 was followed by 74. 1986 was followed by 1989. 2006 was followed by 2008.

It took everything the dwags had to keep 2024 from following 2023.

In 90, when we beat em 40-23, with that special team that year. Pretty dominant from start to finish that day, well, from the second quarter on that day.

Sometimes the better team does not win . . I'm Just going to count last year Miami as the karma equalizer

My recollection is that we wen't up and down the field like they were Maryland or Wake Forest or somebody.
They outscored us 9-0 in the first quarter.
We put up 23 in the second and they never mounted a serious threat after that.

I won't speak ill of the dead. But I'm glad nobody had to hear Munson call this game this year. Except the people around him in hell.

Same. It really messed me up and I got nasty online
LOL… well I didn’t do that. I almost went nuclear on my brother in law via text when he asked if I “cried like a little bitch like our coach did” in a text. Held back though and glad I did. I nearly said some things that you cannot return from.
