You realize Clemson didn't score a TD in Atlanta almost the entire tenure of Tenuta?
Our defense is pathetic now.
I'd take Tenuta over Wommack any day.
I remember a couple of years ago (2006) watching Clemson destroy our defense in an embarassing nationally televised loss. Who was the defensive coordinator for that game?
I think people are being a bit too hypersensitive to Kyle's post. I disagree with his assertion that our defense is bad, and who knows if Tenuta would be better with this talent, but I'm definitely not sold on Dave Wommack.
If BOR or Beej or somebody was the original poster, this thread goes a different way imo.
The whole point of a defense is TO NOT GIVE UP POINTS.
They played a lot because they allowed Clemson to drive up and down the field.

Wow, you really have no idea what you are talking about.
Seriously, I feel much better about the defense if anything after tonight. Until our depth caught up to us in the second half, the only scoring play they allowed was a long touchdown pass.
You can add me to your "not fond" list.
Let me see:
1. CPJ's defenses will innately give up more points than Tenuta's. Chan played a ball-control game which rarely had big plays and usually took up a good bit of time. CPJ hits home runs much more often, increasing the number of drives (i.e. points) regardless of how good the defense is. The quick kick return touchdown made that worse tonight.
2. Seriously, you must not have seen the first half. We were, after all, up 24-0. Our defense made some incredible plays to keep that score 0 until...
3. We had seven straight drives ending with either a punt or an interception. 7 straight. Those drives TOP, by the way, kept the defense off for a very short time.

You mean like in 2003, when we gave up 5 TD's to Clemson at home?
