My favorite part was when Moo U actually ran an option play. Our guy met the pitch man 5 yards back in the backfield and caused the fumble. The UGA wins were great but were nail biters that I think took years off my life.
I don't think I've EVER had as much fun watching a GT game as I did that 2014 Orange Bowl. We absolutely steamrolled a top 10 team. Watching our OL and RB's just truck their defense was something else.
The comments from the announcers during the game were memorable.
"The SEC is reeling"
"They can't stop it. folks"
"The whole defense is in a Days" (after Sinjyn Days was running over them)
I chose that one too. We were in a bar in St. Thomas and coming out of halftime the announcer asked “where’s the sting” and showed a graphic of the stats.I'm in on 2008 also. A beautiful win, but also the deflated and stunned ugag fans made it perfect.
I'm a lifelong sidewalk fan (thanks Techsamillion-RIP), but my wife's brother ended up going to GT. One of his ugag vendors gave him four tickets on the home side, 45 yard line, 17 rows up and told him they'll just pick up some extra somewhere and enjoy the game. We had lunch with them, and my bro-in-law made sure they picked up the tab.
At the game, my wife, sister, he, and I sat amongst their redneck snobbery.
At halftime (a tribute to the then recently deceased radio guy) , he got an obnoxious "ouch" text from the guy.
Then the fun began. We had a great view of Richt circling his team after the third quarter trying to rally them while, across the way, GT players were "All the Waty Turnt Up"!
Exited hedge level, sure to grab a branch on the way out.
Great thread, excited to honor CPJ tomorrow.
No pics of wife or sis.
My sister is a Mutt. She was all kinds of bragging about that game at halftime. Then Dwyer and Roddy showed up.2008 uga - best part was a uga fan calling me at halftime crowing about the guaranteed win
My mind always goes back to the call in show with Wes Durham before the UGA game, and the UGA fan called in and barked. Johnson asked if he was retardedThought this might spark some good debate and wonderful memories. I've included the popular options but feel free to include others I failed to mention. Mine would probably have to be the first UGA win in 2008/ I was sitting in the cold rain watching that first half thinking we were in for another blowout, then Dwyer ran the opening play back
#2 would be a tie between the 2014 Kick and Pick and the Orange Bowl win.

What’s your handle there?I was reading the game thread at the time on SECrant and after that play, fans from other schools were like “did they really just try an option play on Georgia Tech”?
