Sims is our guy however he’s had a difficult time staying healthy so we need a QB that’s ready day one in case of injury.

Tend to agree, but maybe we should all wait until at least after Spring practice. The accuracy and very few ints are very important, imo.

Exactly! Positions where he would not be required to consistently identify open receivers and throw a football accurately downfield to them.

We’re going to find out this year if Sims’ inconsistent play was due to poor coaching or if he simply lacks the skills to beat out a guy that can do the basics consistently. I hope the staff is keeping the heat on him.

Would not think so all he needs is a good coach to coach him, lets hope CCL is that coach. All Reggie Ball needed was a good quarterback coach.

Partly true. I liked Reggie. He was a safety who did pretty well at QB. But he was not particularly tall enough, had a very long wind up, never figured out touch, etc. I am not bashing but just saying we should have had better QB’s recruited back then.

We could make a case that the WR McGowan was the best WR wehad last. Certainly will be missed. yr. Same with the OL-Cochran.
