Collins did not help his chances by explicitly saying he did not care about the Georgia Tech fans and alumni. Does he want to bail out of this situation, collect his money and move on.

Obviously I don't know anything about Collins' frame of mind but when you turn blatantly dismissive of the fans in a presser after a humiliating nationally televised annihilation, it does almost seem like you're daring the school to fire you.

Or he has already been assured he is keeping his job. The plan for coordinator changes may already be in the works. Wouldn't be surprised to see announcements next Monday. If Collins is indeed staying, they will want to make that clear ASAP with signing day looming.
