The defensive coaches could be fired with very little buyout, so your point is stupid. No checkbook needed.
 
I never thought I would think something like this, but I wish all of our players would declare COVID symptoms on Thursday and opt out. Make it a forfeit. I really don't want to give their POS fans the satisfaction in our stadium.

That would be like firing the band on the Titanic. Defensive coaches didn't go Timeout - False Start - Delay of Game - Early Snap.

But the same head coach responsible for the 55 was also responsible for the goose egg. And the TOFSDOGES, by which I will refer to this infamous sequence going forward. Teams have actually won games giving up 55 points. No one ever won scoring 0. I wonder if anyone has ever won with TOFSDOGES.

Yeah, the music DOES suck, so I have no problem firing the band.

But the ship is still going to sink with this captain running it.

45-0 is an absolute indictment of both sides of the ball, both coordinators, position coaches, and ultimately the head coach.
 
Watching the ND game made me sad for the players and Tech fans. The players gave up after the first qtr. and us us fans were not surprised and didn't care! The football program is in grave danger of disappearing.

I think every assistant except Key can be fired for nothing...just the cost of the replacement would presumably be higher if we want better results.

I’m glad you can fire someone in Georgia for doing nothing because that’s exactly what Thacker and Goober have been doing for nearly 3 years. Key actually wrote a clause into his contract protecting him if he did nothing? Pretty smart on his part. I thought he’s a dumbass but he was smart enough to hire a good lawyer to draw up his contract!

Key is on a 2 year contract, so we would have to buyout his 2nd year. I do think he would also have to pay us something if he left. The other assistants have one year deals.
 
Collins did not help his chances by explicitly saying he did not care about the Georgia Tech fans and alumni. Does he want to bail out of this situation, collect his money and move on.
