Dude, this is what you post after our 41-0 season opening demolition? Are you really a troll? Here's the relevant final sentence from your previous post on this board...of CPJ's teams during his tenure, most of them do not measure up to the talent he inherited from Gailey i.e....the 2008 & 2009 teams. About the only one that may have been comparable was the 2014 team. I believe Ross, O'Leary, and Gailey recruited better. So.....what is the problem? I believe a lot of it has to do with the offense we run. Most kids seem to go elsewhere unless it comes down to us and Elon.
Why aren't you celebrating your prescience and the second best defensive performance in the past 10 years?I was really impressed with the App State D, I hope we can get there [sic] coach.

That just gave me an idea: we should go out and recruit 5* athletes.I am a big fan of CPJ, his offense, and believe he has added depth and speed all across the roster. Our problem is getting the stars and keeping them in school. DL, QB, DB, and LB are some of our weaknesses over the past decade. I recall when we were on pretty even footing with Clemson. Those days are gone.

I agree. But your post seemed totally disconnected from the excitement of an opening-day shutout win. And you still do.Sure, I'm happy we can still beat up on Alcorn. I became a die hard fan during the Dodd era when we were a football school. If there had been ESPN back then you would have been hearing about GT all the time. Well...times changed and GT stuck its head in the ground and the game passed them by and we darn near lost the program in the late 70's early 80's. I actually think the Hill tried to sabatoge the program. So when I hear "We are GT we can't compete with the football factories" it drives me up the wall. There was a time we put as many fannies in the stadium as UGA and I'm not talking about the 50's, I'm talking about the 70's. Stanford and ND can do it...so can GT.
You are a ****ing genius! This is the secret to beating Bama. All you need to do is recruit a bunch of 5-stars. UGA just figured this out so let's give it a try. That just gave me an idea: we should go out and recruit 5* athletes.
Dude, every team in the ACC could say the same, including Florida State. Clemson is now what FSU was in the 90s and early 2000s, and you saw how we fared against them. They beat the shit out of O'Leary, Gailey, or whoever else we put out there against them. That talent disparity is 100% about Clemson's rise - we are more or less the same as we have been for a long time.I am a big fan of CPJ, his offense, and believe he has added depth and speed all across the roster. Welcome to StingTalk. I sense some ulterior motive in this post however. Not earth-shattering. That is basically the issue. Clempsen, Duke, Miami, FSU, Pittsburgh (?), Georgia, haave gotten better, we have remained pretty much the same.Dude, every team in the ACC could say the same, including Florida State. That's right....we have to step up to the plate or get left behind. Doing the same old crap and expecting different results ain't cutting it. We use to schedule 2-3 cupcakes and then know we had a few teams in the ACC like Duke & WF that were sure wins. Well....Duke ain't Duke anymore. If this were a chess game...it would be our move.
DELETE THIS THREADWhat do you propose we do for our next move?
