Is Wake a must win?

The defense was fortunate that year. But it didn’t matter. That’s the point.

This is Keys Russia. And if you don’t understand that then you don’t understand what made the past seasons great. Every season you must set yourself free from mediocrity. If you would just drink the day before your off days you’d understand. Trust me I know.
 
I remember when Wake was deemed an automatic win. Now we’re underdogs hoping we can pull an upset and maybe make a bowl.

Cue the big cries.
 
We couldn’t beat Wake in 1992(?) but we turned it around pretty quickly.
 
There are certain games that mark definite turning points in a program. Anybody remember the Thursday night home game against Maryland in 1995? When we threw all the seat cushions on the field? That was the beginning of the O'Leary run...
 
Wake has been a scrappy team since Gailey was coach at Tech. No, it's not a must win (if we beat UGA)

We were 1-2 going into that game, in first full season under new HC who'd taken over as IHC in previous season.
 
It's a must win.

Otherwise there will be some idiot who posts, "Wake is probably a really good team this year, and we'll have to watch to the end of the season to know."

In the event that occurs, I am going to stalk you until I get the chance to kick you in the Jimmy so hard you can't ever have kids just so we aren't spreading the naive rationale seed anymore.

Key is 5-6 thus far….I’d like to see him at .500 after 12 games.

The talent is there to make a bowl game this year. Both our losses were winnable in the 4th quarter.

I believe churning head coaches makes for an unattractive and desperate program, so I’m fine with Key for 2-3 more years. If we want to start attracting fans, the wins need to piling up now.

No, there are several fans on here that will tell you the ole miss game was never winnable. They were just too talented.
