It’s Comical How Bad of a Head Coach Geoff Collins Is/Was

Not saying I liked the guy as our coach. Just expressing appreciation for one thing he did right. It could've been worse.

Yes, Paul Johnson and Chan Gailey also kept our players in line. We've had a long history of coaches who instilled a good character to the team and the players. (Though there were some aspects of the Collins character I didn't like.)
OK.

I’d like to shake your hand.

It really is, how many times do we need to rehash this? He's gone and everyone knows he sucked.

We've listened to how everything was CPJ's fault in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. We haven't even gotten to the first season with a head coach that wears socks and you TFG fan boys are already whining. We should keep talking about how bad TFG was until we win a significant bowl game however long that takes. Could be this year, might be 3 seasons from now.

10 months later and the clown fanboys are still cupping the sack with a vigor that would be admirable if not for how loathsome the bastard is.

Lol. I love CPJ and wish we were still running the triple option as it's my favorite offense in football. I also think CGC was an awful coach and representative of the program.

I legitimately can't think of a single fanboy he has on here so I'm not sure who you are referencing with that.

Guys like you who jump up to defend him. "Stop saying mean things about CGC".

In this thread I've said four things about CGC:

1) We don't need to keep rehashing the fact that CGC sucked
2) Everyone knows that CGC sucked
3) CGC was an awful coach
4) CGC was an awful representative of the program

And in your view that makes me a CGC fanboy who jumps up to defend him and tells people not to say mean things about him?

Kirby Smart and now Pat Fitzgerald put Collins in perspective. Collins cared about our players doing right off the field and never brought scandal to our program. He also fostered a positive culture among the players such that the sort of hazing that happened at Northwestern probably hasn't been happening here. I appreciate that.

So basically you are saying that as long as the coach cares about the players, winning doesn't matter? Ok hire me, I'll do it for half of Key's salary and we will have the best student-athletes in the history of sports. We probably won't win, I have coached a lot of baseball but not football, but since we care most about the players and I wouldn't want them to get hurt. We'll probably just have the kneel play on offense and on defense our 1 play will simply be to hug the opponent so they know they are loved.
It would be awesome if you would let a girl play kicker.

Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it. We have the moral obligation to continue bringing up CGC so that we avoid the warning signs during future job searches.

That's TOS. Can't say mean things about a guy who turned our program into a laughingstock. Literally.

Not that he needs another job with $11 million sitting in the bank, but he's been out of work for nearly 10 months. I don't think his agent is fielding many calls these days.

Not even sure WaHo wants him. Maybe the Broyles Award has a place to use him? I'm shocked nobody in CF needs an elite defensive coach. I mean how many elite coaches had one of the worst defensive backfields in his conference (#68 - 3rd Down Defense, 9th ACC 2021) but had 3 players who at least sniffed at the NFL - Tariq Carpenter (GB), Tre Swilling (SF), and Juanyeh Thomas (DA) - playing there? Yet, constant inferences to low talent were made.

After 10 pages of everybody bitching about what a little bitch Clown was ... a little Kathy Ireland can't hurt.

Very well played. She was a very talented kicker…big contributor to the win at the end of the season.

3 wins in 3.5 seasons is all the perspective I need
