Richt has made a career out of being 'the cool coach'; but he is over 50 now and that cool persona is fading. I think his best days are behind him unless he comes up with a new schtick. He'll still have some good teams if he can do a Dabo and surround himself with great coordinators; but his recruiting edge is fading.

This is the list from their board's official candidate thread.

From their list, 2/3 of them would take a pay cut, 1/4 have zero ties to the region, and the remaining 8% are unproven elements in P5 as a head coach.

If Georgia decides to cut ties with Richt this year, they are going to have a lot of competition in a coaching search.

The most shocking thing about the Dennis Dodd article was the realization that in 15 years Richt has taken UGA to only 3 BCS bowls, while CPJ has taken us to 2 in 8 years. That's crazy.

Firing Richt would probably be good for UGA. He is a dud of a coach. All that talent and what has he done? Our record against him has more to do with our failings than him.
