Fair enough and I don’t disagree. Cabrera hired JBatt. So I’ll trust him with another hire if necessary. But, would be nice to continue building on the current momentum and cohesive vision without a new person wanting to put their touch or twist on this. Not that that can’t be good, but it could also be not good. THWg.

For what it’s worth, I think it’s worth marginally more than our uninformed opinions but not by much - I asked my cousin if he’s heard about this and he said “not at all, sounds like agent hype for a raise”. He works for ACCN (and he’s doing play by play for one of our hoops games next month).

Shades of 1998. They had beaten us 7 yrs in a row. We were 8-2 but rumors were swirling that Auburn was gonna interview and hire George O'Leary.

We went on to win and GOL got a well deserved raise and extension.

The fans are irrelevant- it’s about distracting the coaches. Every minute Key is worried about who his next boss is gonna be is another minute he isn’t thinking about how to beat uga. And if the assistants notice he is worried then they will get worried.

However I think Key is a steely-eyed bulldog hater and it wont bother him until after the game. This game seems to be in his blood just as much as ours.
