Jalen Hurts Possible Transfer

Is this real? Intriguing if true. I like where we are at QB, but you'd never turn down a great athlete like Hurts, who's got a lot of experience. Also, I think it reflects well on CPJ and our program if Saban is recommending it to his transfers. I'll take Alabama's whole second string if they are looking for a fresh start.
It is true. Also, Urban called PJ and asked him if Urban could help coach for three weeks.

You're entitled to your opinion. Mine is that he's not a very good QB. He's a game manager that has been successful behind a completely dominant OL handing the ball off to a rotating group of 4 NFL RBs. He isn't capable of taking the team on his shoulders and making throws to beat coverage. Hell, their top WR just got picked in the first round of the NFL draft, but only had 700 and 900 yards in 2 seasons with Hurts. He broke 1000 as a true freshman with a different QB, and he wasn't even the #1 option then.

Is he a better passer than Marshall? Yeah, probably. But I'm not sure he's a better runner, and he has zero experience in the TO, so no I do not think he would be much of an upgrade over what we've got.
Yeah, but this guy is from Alabama

I figured his one play against UGAg was just to let him get in the game. It was the last play before half.
Is this tongue in cheek in some way? He started the first 3-4 games IIRC. Had all 3 of our touchdowns against ND. He wasn't great, but he played a fairly good amount. He got injured towards the end of the year.

For the record, I’m in the James Graham camp and don’t want anything to prevent him from being the guy in 2019. But to suggest that Jalen Hurts would not be an upgrade to our current QB is laughable.

Same. I think Graham is gonna be the guy and if he isn't for whatever reason, Yates will be. I wouldn't want to risk pushing either of them out of the program, but you cant help but wonder what a 60 percent passer with a 4-1 TD-INT ratio could do for us.

This is all just mental masturbation, anyway. We gettin' trolled.

I'm thinking CPJ and some other coaches might be hesitant to take a
player that just spent so much effort with the media airing his
complaints. He is a good player, but not sure he is worth the drama.

How is it tongue in cheek? He literally came out and played the last play of the first half against UGAg. Didn't play in the game before that, didn't play in the game after that.

I'm not sure, I think you may be misremembering. He had 5 carries in that game, so he definitely played more than what you're saying. He also DID play in the game before that. And the game before that. And before that. And before that. He played in every game that season except for the FSU game.

Don't believe me? Just watch! Bow!
