Jalen Hurts Possible Transfer

School has already started. He ain’t transferring here this year that’s for sure. I didn’t think that’s what people were talking about though.

He graduates in December and could immediately play next season somewhere else.

That makes a lot more sense. See how this season plays out, then go somewhere without having to lose a year.

I doubt it’s us. But I think he’d be a good fit for the offense.

It makes no sense for him to stay at Alabama after graduation

He can play a different position and win another ring probs.
And then what? Is he likely to beat out one of the other 5* athletes specifically recruited for that spot?

I dont believe this

You don’t have to. Hurts is looking at several places and Saban is willing to call coaches on his behalf and give him a good recommendation. Another name is Ben Davis. He will be transferring also. Saban talked to CPJ about both. That is all the info I have. I am not saying either is coming here.

Wow, Ben Davis was a 5-star, number 10 player in the country as a recruit. Appears he hasn't played a down in his 2 years at Bama. First year he was hurt; but his second year Bama was plagued with injuries at LB and he still didn't get in. I hope for his sake a change of venue works out.

Maybe Saban is playing 5D chess. He'll start sending players our way so that Ugag has to face them the week before each SEC championship game. And since Bama is practically always in it, it guarantees Ugag will be beat up when they go. Saban may be on to something and we just happen to be the beneficiary.

I, for one, welcome our new overlord.

In the spirit of feeding wild rumors, GT is a logical place for Saban to approve as a transfer:
  • GT isn’t on the Alabama schedule,
  • it’s not likely that Alabama will face GT in the playoffs,
  • GT plays uGA and Clemson every season (helping GT hurts them indirectly), and
  • GT and Alabama rarely compete for the same recruits (based on SAT scores and offensive styles).

Hurts is listed as a co starter, so all of this is pre mature until the end of the season. Also Bulovas is listed as co starter with a transfer. Interesting.

Bulovas sucks and thankfully chose poorly

I still think Hurts goes elsewhere - or enters the draft as an athlete

Yeah, kinda weird how butthurt we were about Bulovas decommitting, and now he hasn't done anything – despite Bama's obvious woes at kicker.

Would be a shame if he had minimal playing time then had to hit the job market with an Alabama degree.
