Dam son.And yet, even if we lose Willis and the other wavering commit, this class will still be ranked higher than any CPJ pulled in so how about just STFU'ing for a bit, huh?

I mean, if you wanna give Collins hell for his coaching and results, that's a fair take. But the dude has recruited way better than I expected him to be able to do and this year's class is higher than I would have thought it could be...given the results on the field.Dam son.
Oh no. I was just enamored at how succinctly and well you conveyed your point.I mean, if you wanna give Collins hell for his coaching and results, that's a fair take. But the dude has recruited way better than I expected him to be able to do and this year's class is higher than I would have thought it could be...given the results on the field.
We all need to take a damn chill pill, relax and wait to see how the class turns out. This bitching & moaning about every little thing regarding the program is frigging moronic.
Sorry I don't post 6 times a day like you have done for the last 14 years. Some of us had high school classes to attend, boomer.Yeah, nobody cares about your opinion.
Paul wins 6 with these players, clown wins 3. 6>3 every day.And yet, even if we lose Willis and the other wavering commit, this class will still be ranked higher than any CPJ pulled in so how about just STFU'ing for a bit, huh?
"These players" wouldn't come play for Paul though. And before you start with "but but but"...the recruiting rankings say that is true.Paul wins 6 with these players, clown wins 3. 6>3 every day.
Tech would have been better off keeping Chan, Keeping Tenuta, bringing in CPJ as OC. Chan had the NFL clout and likely could have convinced recruits "yes, you can play in this system and play in the NFL" and perhaps convinced them the offense was more like NFL Kordell Stewart than a D2 offense"These players" wouldn't come play for Paul though. And before you start with "but but but"...the recruiting rankings say that is true.
Paul was a hell of a gameday coach and could win with less talent. But he also had issues with recruiting talent...so less talent was here.
So...yeah...winner?!?
I'll have to agree and think it may get worse.Imo, there are going to be a lot of HS players making decisions based on maximizing NIL money. Not saying that is the case here, but it is a new world of college football.
Bama's QB has over $1 million in NIL lined up. HS recruits are gonna chase it. I bet part of Gibbs decision to leave for Bama or Ohio State is because of it.
My point exactly. Paul could win 6 with lesser talent than clown uses to win 3."These players" wouldn't come play for Paul though. And before you start with "but but but"...the recruiting rankings say that is true.

As IF CPJ would have come to be our OC...Tech would have been better off keeping Chan, Keeping Tenuta, bringing in CPJ as OC. Chan had the NFL clout and likely could have convinced recruits "yes, you can play in this system and play in the NFL" and perhaps convinced them the offense was more like NFL Kordell Stewart than a D2 offense
How dare TStan stand up for what he believes and not suck up to the big money to save his job.100 spot on!....Its amazing the the Big Money Boosters offer to but Collins out and the AD says no.... We can no longer blame the money men on this... The longer we keep Collins the longer we will suck, unless GT tries and gets a TO coach to come in.... at this rte we may suck for the next decade....sad just sad! Hopefully the GT President will side with the Big Money Donors next fall and buy out both the AD and the HC.
Yes. But you're also missing the forest for the trees. My point exactly. Paul could win 6 with lesser talent than clown uses to win 3.
Aaaaand, still nobody cares about your opinion.Sorry I don't post 6 times a day like you have done for the last 14 years. Some of us had high school classes to attend, boomer.
And Johnson won 6 games with this lesser talent. Jury is still out on whether Collins will ever win 6 in a year. And by the way, the current recruiting class is ranked 34th, down 9 spots after yesterday's defections. Not exactly delivering the goods as promised.Yes. But you're also missing the forest for the trees.
Johnson also COULD NOT recruit worth a damn and that's one of the reasons we're in the boat we're in right now. At least Collins is restocking the talent pool for whomever comes next down the path.
So if you want to call Collins a clown for not winning (fair, IMO) you also have to throw Johnson into that clown category for leaving the cupboard so frigging bare from a talent standpoint.
Jesus, you’re obtuse. And Johnson won 6 games with this lesser talent. Jury is still out on whether Collins will ever win 6 in a year. And by the way, the current recruiting class is ranked 34th, down 9 spots after yesterday's defections. Not exactly delivering the goods as promised.
From your article...I'll have to agree and think it may get worse.
Texas OL's get paid $50K starting next year. (and announced just in time for early signing day!)
Nonprofit to offer UT Austin offensive linemen $50,000 annually
Every Texas Longhorns offensive lineman on scholarship will get $50,000 annually for use of their name, image and likeness to support charitable causes.www.chron.com
College athletics are dead... "Non-profits" and other organizations are pooling money to pay players? How can Tech compete with this bullshit? I'm about to be done college sports altogether. It also comes days after another Texas name, image, likeness initiative, Clark Field Collective, announced it had $10 million in pledges to help facilitate NIL deals for Longhorns athletes across 17 varsity sports.
Yep. College football is dying. From your article...

We’ll I mean we do have a bunch of Tech owned companies, but the guys there aren’t going to donate when we have an idiot as a head coach. It’s kinda like how it’s pretty hard for a high school kid who’s gotten into 4 wrecks in his 2 years of driving can’t get cheap insurance anywhere. It’s too risky, and the companies aren’t gonna waste their time on it.From your article...
