Jaybo was a solid backup last year regardless of his age, but, when you take into account that he was a FR, I'd say he did very well as a backup. I think his success was due at least in part to his prior knowledge of an option-based O.
And, while I am no T.O. expert by any stretch and without looking at specific plays, to those complaining about calling his own number too much: Part of the beauty of the T.O. play is getting the isolation and taking what the defense gives you. I can just about guarantee you that the basic strategy for defenses against Tech with Shaw was and will be take away the dive and the pitch and hit the QB. Shaw was probably just running the O and taking what the defense gave him which is why he kept it so much. With Nesbitt, it gets a little more complex for the D.
He needs to bulk up no doubt.
