Jaybo did a great job for a freshman last year. He took us to victories in two games he started, held on against FSU and got us a much needed first down against UGA.
It wasn't always pretty but you just can't ask for any more for a freshman backup.
Whoa!!!! Great ... not quite. Good ...I'll give you that. You're correct that it wasn't pretty, but he did get the job done for the most part.
BUT, as far as "holding on against FSU"....I'm not sure which game you watched but that wasn't the case. He nearly handed the game to them. (Fumble and AWFUL and I MEAN AWFUL underthrown interception)
If you want to give out credit for the FSU and UGA games...FSU goes to the Defense and Roddy White gets a lot for his heroics during the UGA game...tight ropin' and divin'
Jaybo is a good kid, athlete etc....however as the systems grows and more come into it...he'll lose a lot of playing time.
When the playbook gets opened up for the PASS...he'll be a memory because he can barely heave it 45 yds down field....and that's where athleticism and abilities of the other incoming players and Nesbitt will out shine.
Again, I like Jaybo and am glad he's on the squad, but he did his job......but it wasn't miraculous. It was Duke and MSU....let's keep it real.
