Johnson/Option Haters - You are forgiven

Could have been All Americans based on what? That is nothing but speculation.

You want to know the truth about recruiting and star rankings? Go listen to ESPNU College Sports Full Ride from Wednesday. Mike Farrell finally told the truth about Rivals star rankings. As he put “Everyone is a 3* now because otherwise it hurts the subscription service.…There aren’t many 2* players left when there should be”

Now go back and see how many got the magic 1* or 2* to 3* bump despite no P5 and low G5 offers once committed.
All Americans based on skill. There’s no doubt that any of those guys could have easily been dominant at their positions, and Charlie is the only one left who has a shot.

RW92 and GoGaTech are still suffering juice withdrawls though.

Also, everybody was glad that Chan was gone. The fans had enough of him in 2007 and booed him out of the stadium. Trying to pretend he would've beat UGA in 2008 is just a sad look. Richt owned Chan both mentally and physically, it took a coaching change to get the players to actually believe they could beat UGA. Chan had totally lost the mental game.
And PJ Fan Club members secretly miss getting ass raped by Duke every year & then seeing who can make the best excuse for that embarrassing, annual loss.

Even pj's 2nd best team got curb stomped by mighty Puke in 2014. ööööing disgraceful.

Richt's worst teams owned PJ's best. Thank all the gods that HS offense is gone the way of the ööööing dodo bird, along with its awful defenses.

Literally no one defends the Clown lol.

It doesn't matter. If a team is playing 2 top 10 teams that close, they deserve respect. AF was just pissed they didn't get a better bowl game.
USAF sucked & it's a disgrace to lode to any service academy. Acceptance of this mediocrity is a hallmark of PJ and his BS loser brand of IIWII football.

2018, we averaged 5.7 YPR... 2019 it dropped to 4.1...

PJ has a ton of them. PJ was the only one who wanted JT to play QB, and he became the best TO QB ever.

Congrats? I mean damn, keep picking and choosing games... 2014 vs MSU wasn't close, but it still ended up being a 15 pt. win.
We lost to Puke & UNC in 2014 & needed a miracle to beat ööööty Southern. Yay!!!

You mean the QB... that PJ recruited as a RB? He has Tobias Oliver, who was a really good QB at Northside, had 3,000 yards passing and rushing, and took down soon to be UGAg 4 star Jake Fromm, James Graham who was really good at Fitzgerald, and was the #17 ATH, and the OL was the exact same except for Braun.

I know his defense was pretty bad that year, but the guys he did inherit were young pieces that could've easily been All Americans with the right coaching (i.e. Juanyeh, Tariq, Swilling, Charlie Thomas, King, etc.). He had the future mapped out great, but Collins couldn't handle it.
Graham & TO stunk it up as starters under the Clown. Both were PJ misses. And if either was worth a damn, they should've beat out dwag fan Taquon in 2018. That they did not shows how bad PJ QB recruiting was.

So is assuming the players CPJ inherited would have succeeded without him. Such things go both ways.

In the end, CPJ put more achievements on the board than most Tech coaches and he did it with less institutional support. I agree we were lucky to have him.

And when the GTAA wanted a change, he had the character and class to retire before the bowl game, saving us $$$ and giving TStan enough time to royally %$#@ up the next hire.
I agree 100% with that. PJ had 1000% more class and coaching acumen than the Clown dreamed of. PJ exited with class and helped us. Clown ööööing sux.

Both would’ve been hits if we had them under a good coach… they were true freshmen under PJ, and PJ has been known to not play true freshmen.

You cannot tell me with a straight face that either would've been worse than dwag fan Taquon, the worst thrower of a football in GT history.

The 2018 team had 8 players who will receive an an NFL paycheck return in 2019.
What 8 players from the 2018 team are current collecting an NFL paycheck?

1. Thomas - PS
2. Carpenter - Active
3. Coco - Active
4. Camp - PS
5. Mason - Active
6. Harvin - Active

That’s 6 from the 2018 team, which includes a LS & P.

GT has 14 total players in the NFL. That’s last in the ACC.

I’m counting Jalen Camp and Charlie Thomas. Thomas might not. But he stands out on tape. Also Swilling is on a Practice Squad I believe.

You’re missing the point. To make an assumption like below is beyond having gold colored glasses on. It’s hard enough to get 1 All American player, let alone make a statement like this.

Coaching is only one aspect of getting national recognition, the play on the field is the other. Outside of maybe Charlie Thomas, none of the above were even close to AA level.

You again are smoking something. All of them had the talent to be able to be All American.
