This thing really annoys me. We are starting our backup quarterback who maybe wasn't actually the 2nd best QB we had, but he was only ever behind Pyron for one game. He's more like a 2b but calling it third string is just trying to make it sound worse

Coastal also lost to Old Dominion, worst team in their division. So if Key doesn’t get a pass on UVA with 3rd string QB then neither should Chadwell

That a recruit can (and have) say whatever they want and change their mind later. If we really decided so long ago that recruits were committing on that assumption we would of announced it already.
 
Key should get the job. If we had a decent punter (no height on his punts) and did not have the botched punt snap, the fumble by Felix and the blown call on the UGA fumble, the game would have been even closer. Also, some dropped passes and catches on sidelines that were ruled OB and could have been difference makers. Proud of the effort and I think Key with a limited body of work has proven he can get us back in the conversation in the ACC.
 
He has shown me enough to get the job.

The scheme the past two games has been impressive. I know we ended up getting smoked in 2nd half, but it isn't easy to try to build a gameplan against a defense that good with your 3/4th QBs. He inherited a öööö show and won enough to show me that he could turn things around more with more time.

The thing that worries me is the game plans seemed better with those than when we had more starters available. Will we continue this in a fresh year with jobs secured or revert to how we were earlier on?

We've said the last thing for a few years now. We can only hope but don't have much evidence yet
