Sims is stringing them along just to stay on the team and get workouts until the season is over.
 
Kids are kicked off teams and lose their scholarships all the time for less…

At least this can put to bed all the handwavingfreakoutery about Gibson going in. Key may not (yet) be P5 HC ready, but he’s no dummy. If Gibson was in, Sims clearly wasn’t available for some reason.
 
Sims will enter the transfer portal very soon after the UGA game, he’ll probably go to lsu, his dad wants him to stay, lots of players will hit the portal, lots
 
So Gibson and Phommachanh are the only two qbs that can play next week? we got nobody else to help?

This really upsets me. What does it even mean to be part of a team? What about your fellow players, your coach? How does he look them in the eyes?

Coach Key had a job potentially on the line. The seniors are playing in the last home game of their careers. Even Gibson -- he knows at this point he's not good enough, and you're sending him out there and putting it on his shoulders knowing it will likely end in embarrassment for what reason?

How do you let all those people down? How do you not at least go out there and give it a try? How do you live with yourself?
 
What an absolute loser. We should only have one QB on the roster after tonight.
