KING OUT? - Nah King is back baby.

How far is King away from graduating? Or is that not public knowledge?
Doesn’t matter, there’s always grad school. Gavin Stewart left tech with masters degree, will leave gsu with an MBA. Nice backup plan if no NFL

'There's always grad school' if you can get in - not a gimme at Tech, as I believe a number of former Tech players can attest. Has this changed?

As soon as the Miami game was over, they switched to the next game which had Roddy and Mark Jones announcing.

I was thinking how awesome it would have been to have those two doing our game. Mark Jones is my absolute favorite. Used to be Fowler and Nessler but Nessler lost his casual, colorful style and Fowler just seemed to fade away.
Would rather have Wes Durham call our games. Roddy doesn’t seem to talk us up when given the chance. He’s “objective” to a fault when covering GT. Wish Roddy had half of Joe Hamilton’s passion for his old team.

Roddy has a bright future in announcing and I understand why he wouldn't want to give anyone an opportunity to question his objectivity.

Pretty sure King graduated from A&M. Athletes don't have to get into a masters program. They can take courses towards a 2nd major or certifications IIRC.
I thought some of the grad school issues in the past were for MBAs specifically, where the story was that they prefer enrollees to have some real world experience and not roll straight in from undergrad. There are other masters programs that probably aren’t as restrictive.

Literally anyone can get into the evening program. And I’m using the proper definition of literally.

If I remember correctly, several years ago we had some (2 in I remember correctly) graduate O-linemen that we desperately needed that wound up transferring to Ga State because our MBA program would not admit them. That’s the kind of self-defeating stuff we have been guilty of in the past.

According to the roster page on Ramblinwreck.com, King graduated from aTm in 2022 with Business Management and is now majoring in History, Technology, and Science.

Maybe if roddy got ööööed up before announcing he would be a homer too

It’s his job. He’s wearing GT gear when I’ve seen him around with his family in East Cobb.

Roddy is GT through and through. He is quite aware of how far he can go with pushing GT.

And honestly, seems to me we really don't need him to stump for us when we seem to be doing a pretty good job of that already. I find his straightforward assessments refreshing.
