KING OUT? - Nah King is back baby.

Honestly, the concerning thing are the rumblings about uga/Bozo may be on his way out. For all the people who criticized CBF, uga fans want him as the next OC.

IF Tech manages to beat the mutts and performs well offensively this could heat up. Though to be honest, this would seem like an odd move to me. CBF has a good thing going and a level of security at Tech. He would be under much greater pressure with the mutts. Not to mention I don't think his style of play design really fits what the mutts have done traditionally, not that he couldn't adjust. One way or the other, I would expect him to be making more money if Tech wins. Probably the same for Weinke. Probably the same for Santucci and Key as well.

Tech is gonna have to pay up commensurate with results. I would also add that any job satisfaction is related to the people you work for, with and around. Brent Key would seem to be a preferable boss to Kirby Smart. Not to mention the mutt player culture wouldn't be very appealing.

But everyone has their own criteria so who knows.

Yeah, Faulkner leaving is a much higher possibility in my opinion. For all the öööö people were giving him before last game, he's had a great two seasons and seems to be very respected.

Of course, that's just the name of the game -- good coordinators tend not to stay in one place too long outside of a few exceptions.

If he leaves, Athens is the one obvious place he would go. His son plays at North Oconee which is just down the road from their campus.

I have no idea whether King will stay or go but if we have reached the point where a guy like King who seems to be a Tech guy through and through is nothing more than a mercenary for hire then my interest in all of this will have waned such that the concept of being a tech man has essentially become worthless and in the end this is no different than the NFL where we are essentially rooting for uniforms and the college game as far as any sort of tradition is 100% dead.
It is much worse than the NFL.
There is no salary cap.
There is no draft.
All contracts are one year.
There is no meaningful roster maximum.
The revenue disparities are massive.

All great points, which hopefully will be resolved over the next 2 years with some common sense by the P4 as a whole.

But on a side note, is this not the best season in 20+ years on the field? Last year was a very good year where 5 or so teams had a shot to win the MNC, and Michigan won it. However, there are legitimately 10+ teams who can win the MNC this year in the first year of the expanded CFP. December will be fun.

apoligize if this is repost but this is so good:

I actually thought Riddick was really good.

Saw this gem in the comments:

All I recall from Riddick was Miami and Ward will be unstoppable in the second half. Also, he always seemed to side with the no flags for the targeting violations against the Canes. He didn't seem to mind calling out our DB for holding the Miami WR, which he was. but the Miami WR was also grabby and there was no mention of that. I figured he must have been an ex-Miami grad but googled him and discovered he went to Pitt. I think like a lot of the national broadcaster he was just on the Cam Ward cheer team.

They were on the field together on purpose. Philo did have to go change helmets after the play to get his radio helmet back. Not sure if that was some wrinkle but somebody told me that King's helmet com quit working and he couldn't hear so they sent Philo in with the play and just had to wing it at RB for a down. We didn't really have a spare RB at that time to grab and send a play in.
This is awesome. The play obviously wasn't a thing of beauty or anything but it's fun when schoolyard öööö like this happens in the overly scripted modern game.

Louis Riddick is by far the best TV guy. I watch most games on mute because I get annoyed at the idiots like Jesse palmer.
As soon as the Miami game was over, they switched to the next game which had Roddy and Mark Jones announcing.

I was thinking how awesome it would have been to have those two doing our game. Mark Jones is my absolute favorite. Used to be Fowler and Nessler but Nessler lost his casual, colorful style and Fowler just seemed to fade away.
