I wouldn't be so fast on that. Louisville has proven, with Strong, that it can pay big money. Petrino is damaged goods. There will be two ways to get him out of there:
A. Bigger job with bigger money
B. Similar job with WAY more money
Teams in the first category probably will probably have enough other options...and have enough to lose...that they won't come after him.
Give him a couple years of winning at Louisville and there will be many school that qualify in the second category.
I don't think he will leave unless an NFL team takes a flier (doubt it after the last go round), he has another indiscretion, or he puts Louisville on probation.
Remember...Charlie Strong turned down Tennessee to stay at Louisville. He didn't turn it down just because he's a "loyal individual." He went to Texas because...well...its Texas. Jobs don't get much bigger and the money doesn't get much better.
