I have no knowledge but I'd be shocked if grades have anything to do with this. All academic acc and offers from Vandy and Tech. I think it's unlikely. His dad also said he's been battling the idea of a transfer for a while.

But, he has spent two years at GT. He is getting there. Over the hump if he is doing well. Dammit.

He's giving up a damn good degree, too. It would be a shame to give up a GT degree for an East Carolina degree.
 
Does UGAg hand him an engineering degree day 1 if he goes there?
 
So in an effort to avoid having to read 11 pages, does anyone know why he's leaving? Or is it all just the usual "stingtalk talks out it's ass" stuff?

I am leaning towards wanting to be closer to home.

I am also leaning towards drinking more and picking up skanky women at trucker dive bars. Yesterday sucked.
 
In the AJC article, he doesn't say why, only that he's leaving. Does not mention UGA as a choice. Personally, I'm hoping he'll choose an FCS team.

I don't think anyone "knows for sure", but I'm thinking it has to do with going towards an easier/more prominent path in getting football $$$ in the future......just based off social media stuff.

Plus, I'm sure there is a sour taste from whatever transpired with Mills and then MM getting bumped as soon as Mills was back.

He's led the team in rushing the past 2 seasons as a backup. By all accounts, he's a good kid with good grades (4.3 gpa in HS). Despite this, he is on the depth chart behind a guy that has been suspended twice for not showing up to practice on time. Pretty obvious that he feels that he is not getting a fair shot at the starting spot and decided to take his chances elsewhere......

I really like Marcus Marshall. Sad to see him go.....
 
I like him and he's a great player. I think he's making a mistake in leaving, but I'm sure he has his reasons. Good luck to him. I wish him the best and thank him for his contributions to Tech. He's been fun to watch.
