Mark Richt has dominated Paul Johnson

For a guy with X's and O's for an avatar you don't seem to have any faith in adjusting to what is being done to you. Over and over and over in consecutive plays

Move the inside corners up close on their receivers and roll the linebackers out wider. Anything would have been better than doing nothing.

Devil's advocate: their RB runs for 8-10 yards up the middle then, like he did ALL game.

Look at what I posted earlier. Take a risk. Play them tight. Do something in response. Don't take 6 of the same plays in a row eating your lunch.

Your plan was to commit suicide. With the way our offense was playing we could not take a risk. I wish we had gotten yet another stop; but if the offense had done anything at all that drive never would have happened.

Or maybe I understand what Roof was doing. All you can say is "stop it"

That's a risk, but a lot less failure-guaranteed than not doing anything. We would at least force Miami to adjust

Keep the same interior assignments and gamble on some press coverage after the 3rd or 4th or 5th consecutive same play. You want some name of a specific play? You want hand signals? That makes you the expert? Everyone and their brother was sick of UM walking us down the field after the third time in a row that it happened. And we did NOTHINF in response. You don't need to be frantically waving your arms on the sidelines to know that you are getting gashed and that the offense has seen something they are taking advantage of.

Dude I agree with you, maybe for the first time tonight. That was extremely frustrating to watch. After the second time they ran it I thought okay, we'll adjust to that. After 3 I was getting annoyed. After 5, 6, ?7 I was decompensating and my wife came to check on me.

I keep forgetting that they called "invincible advance the ball at will" play. My bad.

I can't believe anyone would defend Roof's playcalling on that drive. If what you are doing is guaranteed to fail, you MUST try something else. And once we finally, eventually did, we came one play from getting a stop. Maybe if we'd adjusted sooner, Miami's miracle catch would have been at the 40 instead of the 15

A 57 yard field goal would have just hurt more.

Suicide!? Are you high!? Did you watch the game? Rosier was missing dudes all day! What's the percentage for bubble screen completion vs 15+yds downfield?

People bitching about the offense are missing the point. Miami's defense shut our offense down in the second half. We can discuss that ad nauseam, but it was what it was. If we would have maintained a 14 point lead throughout the game, we probably would have won. The defense played a good to good+ game. But in the final series we simply did not adjust. Our kids weren't put in position to succeed. I can't even get mad at Gray and Simmons for that circus catch, they defended the ball well, the Miami receiver just made a nice a snag.

We should have called "invincible stop the ball at will" Maybe Roof doesn't know about that. Call in on Monday and let CPJ know and maybe he will relay it to Roof..

What an apologist. Nothing could be done. Tuck your tails gentleman and take it with class. I'm done.

Maybe you are mistaking play calls with talent and execution.

DB was 7-10 yards off the receiver, loaded box. Every time. After rattling 5,6,7,whatever of those off in a row, we finally brought the backs in tight. They magically stopped with the screens. I don't know you, but on quick judgement I assume you are not talented; I believe that you'd even be able to "execute" if given a 10 yard cushion.

Our offense had 3 possessions for a total of 13 yards and 1 first down in the 4th quarter; maybe CPJ should have tried a bubble screen.

Why not 7 bubble screens?

That Miami RB averaged 8.5 per carry. We don't have the athletes to be a shut down defense. We made them pass and ended up with a 4th and 11. It's not a play call issue.
