Master of Whispers: Collins Gone, Brent ööööing Key is interim are you ööööing kidding me?

I remember Greg Smith (#5/WR) pulling up instead of engaging on a downfield block in Year 1. The ball carrier got tackled right beside him. Even a mild effort from Smith would've made it a touchdown instead of an ~8 yard gain.

CPJ dragged him off the field by his face mask and he sat the rest of that series.
I remember this too, and I think he transferred after that, no?

We couldn't beat ööööty UCF and got blanked by a meh Ole Piss team. Where the hell is more than 1 more W coming from?
The more I watch, the less talented we appear to be.

yes. and everything we are doing now is just image triage. i dont see us finishing any better than 3-9. but it matters not what matters is making the right changes.

But that's the whole point. We should lose out +/- someone else handing a W to us. IF, and that's a big if, Key was to start beating the other ööööty teams it is a hell of a data point that maybe he is more suited to HC than OL coach.

I have zero expectations here, but the move of making him the HC for the rest of the year makes sense.

Yeah Key as interim is whatever just as long as it's interim. We need to expunge as much of the Clowns staff as possible at the end though.

Excrete the ööööing waste!!!

This. After almost every snap.

That’s how I feel after watching Tech football over the last three years

It could just as much be a sign of how bad Collins was as how good Key could be. Between the bad OL performance, how putrid his one shot at anything above OL coach was before and a general distrust of all these Tech guys we've brought in I don't think there is any set of circumstances that could lead me to accept Key as the next head coach and not think he just fluked into some wins.

Edit: That said, interim is interim so w/e on that front. Someone has to do it.

Id spend the next 2 months solely gameplanning for uga, he beats them with this train wreck and he'd probably get the gig

Key could get a P5 OL coach job tomorrow. He will get no blame in coaching circles for our predicament.

It's amazing what riding Alabama's coattails will do for a position coach. Key has been terrible everywhere but with their 5 star talent.

He'll won't be an improvement as the interim and let's pray for a decent AD hire.

Y'all know when TStan said "I have my coach" during last year's CGC decision, he meant Key and not Collins right??

Ain't happening but I want Paul Johnson as interim just for entertainment

GS is currently doing a series on 40 years of football on their youtube channel. PJ is in it. He's much skinnier, looks older but he looks at peace. Almost unrecognizable really. He looks like a guy that will never coach again, which is unfortunate.

Interesting tidbit I found was that Erk Russell wanted a triple option offense since he found it difficult to defend. He had asked around if anyone knew what it was, and this guy knew a little bit about it having played in i-formation in high school, started a playbook for it. PJ was the DL coach for Erk's "Split Sixty" defense he ran at GS and UGA. When the OC at the time left, PJ picked up the playbook and made it his. Just thought that was interesting for the maybe 3 of you that might also get a kick out of that.

Yeah we love hearing stories about PJ at Georgia Southern stories. Let me tell you what

Well like I mentioned, only diehard PJ fans would appreciate it, maybe some triple option fans as well. It's only a chapter in his career.
