Master of Whispers: Collins Gone, Brent ööööing Key is interim are you ööööing kidding me?

Ain't happening but I want Paul Johnson as interim just for entertainment

This. After almost every snap.

I guess Quinlan is saying that the Monday meeting is to decide on TStan.
Based on the ST ‘facts’ archival data, the TStan decision should be easier than the CGC decision based on the TStan Oregon payoff as well as the structure and of the contract extensions when they were uncalled for.

I remember Greg Smith (#5/WR) pulling up instead of engaging on a downfield block in Year 1. The ball carrier got tackled right beside him. Even a mild effort from Smith would've made it a touchdown instead of an ~8 yard gain.

CPJ dragged him off the field by his face mask and he sat the rest of that series.

Key is respronsible for literally the worst unit on this team (since there is no actual special teams coach). He bragged to us all that he had 100 PERCENT CONFIDENCE in this train wreck.

Are the stadium restrooms reasonably clean? If so, then make the janitor interim head coach because at least he would be doing his job better than Key.
At least the janitor is experienced in cleaning up messes.

Key had that really bad tweet when Brandon Adams passed away- something like yeah we lost a good one but look on the bright side we recruited a 4 star to replace him. Besides everything else with this dude- It's way easier to recruit at GT than Bama, etc GT's leadership would need to be completely tone deaf to think that would be a good idea. That being said, it's probably happening because that's the GT way.

The animosity towards CBK is understood, as the OL has been absolutely terrible. That said…something isn’t adding up. Saban was willing to spend significant money to keep him at Bama and he still retains significant respect in college football coaching circles. I believe CCL referenced him as one of the reasons he came to GT.

Collins has to go and it will ultimately be up to the new guy to decide which coaches to keep. The interim coach typically doesn’t matter at all unless, in the rare case, they make a significant impression on the AD ala Dabo. Since we’ll likely be in the market for a new AD, it won’t matter.

Key is a moron. He needs to go as well.

Hopefully Key has a sense of pride and also realizes that he has 8 games to rebuild his reputation to the point that he might be given another job in college football.

Anyone know if Paul Johnson is working this weekend?

I think Key would have to 5-3 to get any consideration at the end of the season; extremely unlikely. Being the interim of this team actually seems like a fairly unpleasant task.

Agreed on highly unlikely to get to 5-3 but it is looking more and more attainable. VT, UVA, Duke, Miami are all flawed teams that a decent coach should be able to beat. If only we had one of those we could be going to the ACCCG
