Key makes the most sense of people on this staff, imo. He obviously has not done well with his position, but who has? You don't want to to move a coordinator up because that upsets operations. Key's personality is very different from Gef so that should be a good thing.

There is basically zero chance Key will get any real consideration for the job moving forward unless we all of the sudden turn into the '72 Dolphins.

Chaney, fwiw, is basically a part time employee. Ain't looking to take on HC duties.

As fundamentally flawed as Collins is, I fear that whatever wins an interim may have would be mistaken as actual success. The entire football operation needs to be ritually cleansed by certified priests.

Since Key is the Assistant Head Coach it may very well be in his contract that he is the head coach in the event of Collins being canned. Unless we want to fire Key along with Collins (which I would support btw), I don’t see why Key shouldn’t be interim.

Key is respronsible for literally the worst unit on this team (since there is no actual special teams coach). He bragged to us all that he had 100 PERCENT CONFIDENCE in this train wreck.

Are the stadium restrooms reasonably clean? If so, then make the janitor interim head coach because at least he would be doing his job better than Key.

Part of me says give Key a 1 year audition contract (wink, wink) so the AA can restructure after this monster buyout. The AA will probably go out and give an even bigger contract to an unproven element and will be paying off both by 2025
